If your bellbox on the front is of SAB or SCB type, the battery in it will keep it going (unless of course it's dead), so you might want to do something with that, but opening it will cause it to sound. The battery in the control panel you can just unplug but it's the one in the bellbox that you would need to worry about if it has one.

Well once you take the keypad off the alarm will go off anyway because you've tampered with the system. Unless the system is switched off then it'll be fine! But if the system is still powered up, when you remove all power or take it out the bellbox outside will start to sound till it's battery dies ( so you might want to bear that in mind! )

This is true, but the surface ones were all i had at the time of install last year! ( The office had the scanny alarm before which you can see the panel of at the end of the loft halfway through the video :P )

Ah thats a NETSTAR keypad, yeah the keypad buttons make the old beep noises, but the panel should make the same Loud Speaker tones though!

Aha fair enough! And no because the tones are produced by the circuitry on the main panel.

This is just a Loud Speaker, The sound coming out of this is produced by the Intruder Alarm Panel.

Ermm the 1 line on the display is probably because there is no engineer text set up on it ( i have it on mine), so it most probably will!

Hi there just seen a few of your videos on the Menvier TS900 panels and it looks like you know your way around these panels. Here is the problem I have that you may be able to assist me in getting my panel setup ?. I have recently replaced my faulty panel with a used TS900 panel but cant seem to get the panel up and running I have in the past used scantronic without any problems but this TS900 has a different style of menus that I cant fully understand.I would be very gratfull if you could offer some help thanks Mark

Hi forde52,After a bit of help, I have recently moved into my placed which has the ts790 + and ts900+ (user manual) at the time I didn't have the pin, and for some reason the alarm went off, with the display showing tamper. As I didn't have the pin I disconnected a wire from the remote panel and also the loud speaker. Have recently found the pin. But the system didn't except it. I have since opened the main panel and disconnected the power and battery. Once reconnected the remote panel doesn't not work. I think I need a full reset how can I do this? Do I need to get hold of a engineers remote ? Any help will be appreciated Thanks

+Vinod Kumar Hi, Have you reconnected the wire back into the remote pad? How are you powering the panel back up? There is a certain sequence to boot them up correctly.

+forde52 the remote panel has a red light on. I've not done anything special in powering the alarm back on. Reconnected the live then connected the battery.

+Vinod Kumar Is it just a red light (next to the warning symbol) or is the power light and the screen lit as well? It could be that you've managed to damage either the keypad or the panel itself if you've accidentally shorted the keypad when you look that wire out. Try powering up with just the battery (you might need to connect the battery, then place a screwdriver between the pins on the panel pcb that say KICK START if it has them fitted)

+Vinod Kumar Right ok, Swap the 1A Fuse for the Remote Network with the one for the Node Network in the panel and see if the keypad comes to life!
