On the larger maps you can get a ceasefire going with your immediate neighbors early on too. But you have to ask for it like as soon as you're aware of them. As soon as shots are fired, they lose interest. That buys a ton of time to build up.

Hi Chris, Yes, I already tried out the TEC myself for Impossible difficulty and it works surprisingly well, especially with the trade mechanic, economy in mid and late game are no problem anymore :) Thanks for your support and I wish you a great day!
