Hey there, super cool to see a younger referee putting out great content like this! Do just wanna make sure you're aware, in case you hadn't found out or somebody else hasn't mentioned it yet, that USSF has said that unless the competition you're reffing for specifically OK's it that only all-Regional or above crews can use headsets. Really good information you seem to be making, keep it up!

Hi! Yes, I’m aware of that! We received permission from the tournament directors when we used the headset, so we made sure we were following all laws😁

I am doing 12u and 14u boys Semi-finals and the finals for both age groups. I will be using my headsets with all 2 ARs and fourth official.

SideNote: As an idea how would you communicate with a player who doesn’t speak English? (Acknowledging the fact team translations are often not accurate) Again thanks for the cool content !

Hi Levi! First, thank you for your continued support! Regarding your question, I also speak Spanish, but for referees who may only speak one language, body language, hand signals and gestures, and the referee’s whistle are all effective ways to communicate with players without actually speaking. The referee can also use their yellow and red cards to communicate information to everyone. Thanks again!
