I had a mental breakdown back on Monday, 8/19/2019, aka my first day of 8th grade, because my friends weren't in any of my classes. It was so horrible, that I started having the mental breakdown during lunch, and it ended that evening. My first day of 8th grade in 2019 was way worse than my first day of 7th grade in 2018 (even though that sucked too).

Your middle school sounds like heaven to me, i am from Greece amd school here has so high expectations of all students, no technology allowed (no phones, no computers, no nothing), they give us SO much homework the only free time a greek student has is only in the weekends and only for about 5 hours, like wtf. Also there are no lockers so students have to carry all of there books in they're backpacks all the time.

To be honest this brings a funny story so there were this kid that didn’t had a phone. so he use a calculator to play pokemon since you can do something to be able so just search it up online. And there was this guy let’s call jerry, that would ALWAYS SNITCH EVEN IF IT WAS SO LITTLE. Everyone or at least my opinion hated him. So this jerry tells on the teacher IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE CLASS THAT HE IS PLAYING POKÉMON ON HIS PHONE. And since you know you can’t have a phone or at least in my middle school. The teacher say to bring his phone but he doesn’t have a phone at all so the teacher say to bring his backpack and she search’s the whole back pack and doesn’t find a phone so the teacher gets jerry in trouble FOR LYING it was funny 😄 plus the kid that didn’t had a phone was a nice kid he doesn’t do anything bad or mean

I have a bit of my own story, so basically my favorite LA teacher was telling us about how the vice of students sends random videos of the students doing something stupid. He tells us about this one video of this kid and his friend and his friend lightly taps him with his foot then purposely spazzing out like that meme in soccer games when they get kicked. Now I remember this Bc turns out I was there and that was probably my friend.

Middle school wasn't that bad for me. I had a lot of good friends, my teachers loved me, and did my own thing and didn't try to fit in. I did get in serious trouble over a joke at one point, like I almost got arrested, but besides that it was okay.

tip for middle schoolers and soon to be middle schoolers. First day ask for help if you need it no ones gonna kill you for it. 2. no one cares what tf you wear just smell good and good. 3. you don't all need to be bad there are alot of kids who are those. 4. (this might be biased because my school is ratchet asf) don't ever let anyone see your hot cheetos, takis, chesters ANY type of hot chips and gum people will be your fake friend and beg you for food. 5. stay away from the toxic people and have your nice stable friend group ( we already have enough butt kissers to the popular people.). 6. there will be *those* teachers and GREAT teachers we *all* have them. 7. Have a good time and don't let the pressure (depression) fake friends ( we all have them until we get rid of them and if you don't and have *never ever* had them they ur the luckiest person alive or ur one) and middle school get to you and have a good three years (i have three years where i live). I'm going to sixth grade in a dangerous school. Three threats were made and reported throughout five years, One fight club from 2016, and a fight over a racist white girl group. I think I might be fine. Lots of my friends are going there (as my elementary is literally 4 blocks down) and that all happened many years ago

I had this policy as well in Middle School and I hated this policy, even my parents thought it was incredibly stupid. Although it wasn’t nearly as strict since you were allowed to have it out if you were either taking pictures of notes, looking up definitions, and/or play Kahoot. But when ever I was feeling sick, I would wait at the end of either the first, second or third period to sneak into the bathroom, text my mom to come pick me up home, and I would sneak to the office to wait for her hoping they wouldn’t notice me just sitting here for a long time. It was because the school nurses only allowed you home if you had a high fever and not just when you felt sick, it’s like they wanted to keep you in school no matter how sick you are because of the obsession to make you attend. Lastly about not constantly being in the school body, you had to have a doctors notice which doesn’t sound too bad but if you didn’t go back in two days, then it is marked in your school records as a bad mark; the only exception was when I had the flu when flu season came and they understood it more and allowed it; sadly I heard they stopped accepting doctors notes when I came into 9th grade. Although the policy was stupid, my middle school overall wasn’t too bad thankfully, it was still annoying but not so bad that I despised the school.

I’m not stupid and also was smart enough to not date at 12. Also my teacher didn’t care about phones, like as long as you’ve done your work you can be in your phones doing whatever you want.

I feel like elementary school is basically teaching kids social skills where kids focus on getting to recess more then their actual grades Middle school is throwing kids who have basically been worry free their entire life into a hell hole, where stress about grades, social life, and relationships with family and friends turns them into insane demons And high school is where all the stress from middle school turns into a part of people’s lives, and helps them mature and grow as they enter adulthood.

Me going onto 8th grade: yeah middle is awful- and everything about my school is awful- but heyyyyy im almost going into highschool at least. im pretty sure highschool will be better, but yeah if you are going into middle school. DONT get into relationships trust me, mine went awful its better to be single because you can basically do ANYTHING when your in a relationship then you cant really do as much as you can and there is ALOT of drama in middle school so please, dont get in the drama and dont send nudes either bc its 1. just disturbing 2. Dude I can relate with the no phone thing, you could not have it even on you, and you had to have it in your bag, shut off, and if you needed to call someone you had to ask, but I had a cool teacher who was so laid back that she let me text in class, for some good reasons. Also if you got caught with your phone the principal would take it and if it happened again then your parents had to go and get it. But yet they gave us nice MacBook Airs😂😂 it was BAD. But the nice teachers I had would take it for the class and then give it back or take it and not give it to the principal for the day. She is really nice :)

@@mcknightujc Yeah, until your 8th grade depression hits, and it hits pretty hard. Seriously, 7th and 8th grade are hell, and I'm saying this based on my experience with the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 school years, and thank God my last ever day of middle school was on Friday the 13th. You should consider yourself lucky that you're going into 6th grade, which really isn't as bad as 7th or 8th grade, and I'm not looking forward to being a high school freshman in August.

Just escaped middle school, and honestly, it wasn't nearly as bad as most people say. Sure, it wasn't good, but if I had to experience all of that again for 10,000 dollars, I'd gladly do it.
