Yeah this story doesnt make any sense. This absolutely never happened. Someone just wanted practice writing short stories. Think about the verbiage. No one talks like this in real life. Whoever wrote this... dont quit your day job!

What a lousy story . I would have started divorce proceedings even though I was still in Spain . First by contacting a lawyer and secondly a PI to dig up dirt on my husband . The sawdust prank was the only positive highlight in this story .

Difficult to know if the punishment fitted the crime. Maybe a bit OTT. I don't know why her husband needed to help his mother get home, and certainly no need to suddenly disappear, MIL/SIL? could have feigned sick and got hubby to drive her to the airport. Quite a few miss spelt words.

Unless MIL lived somewhere out in the boondocks someone would have seen the man carting in the sawdust after using the hide a key. So he gets charged with breaking and entering, malicious mischief, vandalism,destruction of property, life endangerment. She gets charged with all that plus conspiracy to do all that for each charge. Plus the hotel charges, the clean up charges. And then friend might also sue her. All because mom couldn’t stand to be around DIL so left her in Spain and went home. DIL doesn’t know why. If this is the way she reacts when things don’t go her way, then I have a pretty good idea why MIL gets fed up.

Ridiculous tale. Husband and his mother hurt your feelings cruelly and that entitled someone to damage their home, furniture, appliances and belongings; cause not just chaos but a major economic loss; and possible danger to another’s wellbeing??? Wow those are some precious feelings. Glad your they did not feel as entitled as to break into the home your husband shared and instead patiently and expensively stayed in a hotel while one enjoyed being stranded alone in a foreign country.! Then the intention is to permit them to stay bs k in the “ Royal” dwelling while being miserable !! As if they would want to share your palace. The “lead” in this story is definitely a petty ridiculous character BUT I think character may be the correct word as I doubt any of this tale is true!

I think this person wanted to write a novel more than tell a story. That said this is the absolute dumbest story I have read. It doesnt make sense, no one speaks like this in real life, and there is no climax. She had her own house covered in saw dust? Am I missing something? Im not trying to be mean but either a child wrote this or someone is not playing with a full deck.
