Just because someone is quiet doesn't mean they aren't ambitious or that they are too soft. Not everyone has to go around with the "look at me" attention-seeking attitude. If someone is quiet, they're probably thinking about their next move toward success. And, yes, it takes planning to succeed. What is it with these mothers who just refuse their adult children be who they are, on their own terms? I'd say, the problem is theirs, not the child's. There's no rule that says children should be carbon copies of their parents. Way to go, Erica. You have every right to be yourself!!
