Good luck! I'm glad I opened my heart to hearing people explain themselves rather than letting others tell me about them.

I love the way you told this. it simplified it but kept it light enough when the sprinklings of childhood trauma have to be told lol. 8 is way too young to make a commitment to a t-shirt let alone a religion! the way mormonism handles children and their gender identity/ sexuality is abysmal and you kicked ass flying out of its clutches like that! Bravo! 💖💖💖

This was such a super interesting video!! Thank you for sharing your experience! Not sure if you'll ever do a follow up to this video but if you do I'd be interested in hearing your current stance on religion! Are you agnostic? Aethiest? How would you approach the subject of religion with your future children should you have any? Thanks again for the video!! I really enjoyed it!

Definitely, I will talk more about it! I definitely have a lot of thoughts on this and have a lot more to say :)

It's still like this. I've never really believed, but I knew that if I "lost my faith" a lot of social connections would immediately break. And that thread held. Until, of course, I started questioning my sexuality and gender. Whoops! Bi and transfem! The way that they put ideas into your head is the worst. They prod everyone till they agree, because you know, social connections. The family proclamation is the worst one, as well as the part where they went (for me), 'men can't be alone with women because you'll start getting the desire™'. I hate the lds church. I hate the fact that I can't be myself and that I have to hide the main cause for my depression. (Diagnosed, on meds rn) I hate the fact that I have to lie and that every Sunday I have to wear a white button down and tie. I just want to be me.

Hey Eri, I'm sorry you are going through this. I know how hard it is to have to pretend to be someone you're not. You deserve to be yourself. The people who love you want you to be happy. When they finally get to meet the real you, and see you truly happy, they will come around in there own way. They can never fully understand, but it won't matter once they see how happy you are! Whatever you do, do it for yourself! Don't let other people stop you from being happy! 💕💕

Im so sorry love but this is a little complicated at the moment the church defines sex and gender by sex assigned at birth. Even though yes I know its an ignorant statement and depressing situations for women like us. I encourage us to pray for the church and that the prophets may counsel with Heavenly Father and scientist which is God's law of nature. Peace and Love.

Awesome your parents didn't care if you played with Barbies. My mom called me out when I was caught.

I love how this representation of the church is completely false I came seeking information about LGBTQ Members.

Uh. I'm currently hiding the fact that I don't believe and the fact that I'm transfem and this is spot on... :/
