The behind the scenes footage helps me understand the breeder of my own dogs far better - and what all goes into breeding, socializing, and caring for puppies. Before I came across your channel, I had no idea just how much work was involved in early neuronal stimulation, early socialization, and temperament testing, done by a professional breeder. I only have 2 adult dogs and 1 puppy at home, and I thought that was lots of work, until I saw your video here - 23 puppies. Not 1, no, 23. And 6 adults. Wow, you're amazing!

I’m a French Bulldog breeder and once they turn 4 weeks old I put them in a playpen area with washable pee pads. I also have a huge clear plastic bin with a cut out so they can go in and out. I use horse cedar pellets from TSC to litter train them. I also feed them in their area and just pick up the bowls when their done. They have a play area and also lots of blankets for sleeping. I have been breeding for 20 years and finally got the best system going. I also have a garbage can next to the play area and just scoop the poop out all day. You are giving yourself so much work using those trays and buying all those pee pads. I have 12 washable pads and clean my area once in the morning. I wash all those and then put the new ones in. So I use about 6 in their area every day. That way too the moms are not eating all that poop!

They are all getting SO big even Tilly's babies are chunks already. Bailey 2 bits of advice first you NEED to ask Santa for a counter with a raised sink/grooming tub it will save your back and you can wash whatever you need to right there in the dog room and get hot water for puppy food as well. The second thing is try litterboxes.... omg they are so much better just make sure you use the dog litter "second nature" I think it's called so much cleaner than those puppy pads with the holders and good for dogs of any age or size. Big litters you will just need to have a few boxes and you can scoop them throughout the day and empty them as needed ... I could not stand those covers on the trys they are awful and get disgusting and yes backbreaking work cleaning them all! Just my 2 cents I hope Santa is good to you and brings you a raised grooming tub because you need it! Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas!

As a breeder myself, oops litters happen folks! We try our very best not to have these issues but to condemn someone for taking very good care of them is rude and ridiculous. Our puppies come first ALWAYS! That means cleaned and disinfected rooms, disinfected bowls, super high quality puppy food for ALL of the dogs/puppies, and taking the time to find the best homes possible for our pups! I have refused to sell pups to folks based on an interview process with a potential customer because I don’t feel that person is able to care properly for my pup. That being said, I don’t have this type of pup as I breed German short hair pointers so I already know my clients need to take the time to research the breed and I explain what they are in for when purchasing a gsp (high energy, needing tons of exercise daily, feedings, mental stimulation for the dog, kennel training, tons of training in the field for bird hunting, and so much more.). My dogs are used for hunting, family pets, search and rescue, dog sledding, we have a pup working with a university researching bees in the field (finding diseased bees and researching them to potentially stop of death of the bee population before it happens), hiking, etc….I’m not saying her dog are being used this way but there are reasons why we breed our dogs to do a lot of the prep work as a pup that some shelter dogs aren’t suitable to do. Just because some of us have litters (sometimes oops litters) doesn’t mean we don’t have the very best intentions for our dogs. My pups and dogs are family first and their health and care is of utmost importance to us and it’s obviously the case with this breeder as well. Don’t knock what you don’t see here. I guarantee you she has spent hours cleaning, feeding, disinfecting, bathing the pups, etc…it’s not always about greed!!! If You wanna talk about inhumane greedy breeders start with bulldogs and everything that goes into those whelping issues! Now that’s inhumane to cut a mom open to get puppies out of every single litter that the females whelp!!!

Hey Can you wash the pad tops by using a spray bottle with the KennelSol in it, spray it down will letting it soak in the tub of hot water, then using a scrub brush to get any stubborn stool off and then use a water hose to spray it clean with? Just a suggestion! But you are doing such an amazing job and one of the best breeder I've seen this far. I have a Goldendoodle that is 1.5 years old name Corbyn and also a yorkie that is 8 years old name Chase.

If you are talking about actual walks and not just playtime, then the puppies shouldn't be taken on walks atleast a week or two after the third vaccine, which is near the 8-9 weeks mark. And the puppies go to their forever Homes by 8 weeks, so she doesn't need to take them for walks. As for the adult dogs, they get their walks and play time, since she lives on a large property.

I see the comments about her running a puppy mill and I think that’s slander honestly. Puppy mills are really horrendous and scary. Unsanitary conditions, neglect, breeding any two male and females together (sometimes related), no health testing, sold for a cheaper price than other similar breeders, etc. You can take issue with mixed breed dog breeders if you’re a breed purist, but to say that she’s running a puppy mill is way over the line. She isn’t neglecting them. She cleans up after them. She does extensive health testing to make sure the prospective parents aren’t going to pass down debilitating health problems. She charges a price that is comparable to other similar breeders out there currently. Maybe there’s a better way to time the litters somehow but you can’t really control when a dog goes into heat or if they become pregnant. She could have tried with Dolly and Tilly and failed to produce any puppies between the two of them. As far as breeding in general goes, there is a place for ethical breeders…both purebred and mixed breeds. You have to keep each species going so that you continue to produce healthy standard bearers for each breed. Purebred dogs that are bred well and responsibly are essential. If you look at certain breeds over the last hundred years or so, quite a few have been bred horribly (both intentionally and unintentionally). Bulldogs and Frenchies are just a couple of examples of dogs that haven’t maintained the traditional breed standard over the years and their health as individual breeds has suffered for it. Both their appearances and their health concerns have changed over the years and not for the better. I think they’re wonderful breeds but I feel bad for them that for so many years people have bred them improperly and now these poor dogs have issues they never used to have to deal with. Breeders of purebred dogs are essential in some cases to produce healthy dogs for each breed but they can’t be breeding irresponsibly for money or convenience. Mixed breeds can also be bred well and can sometimes be healthier than some purebred dogs. They have more variety in their gene pool which is often a good thing but there are limits of course. Also I love dogs (often more than people lol) so I absolutely hate that shelters are filling up. There are several reasons for that though, and you can’t blame breeders. Overpopulation isn’t the same kind of problem it is in the US if you go to places like Europe. They don’t often spay/neuter and they don’t have near the abandoned dogs we have. It’s not a dog problem or a breeder problem…it’s an owner problem. Sorry not sorry. If people took better care of their dogs by looking after them more and making sure they couldn’t escape or roam unsupervised then we would have far fewer dogs without homes. You can’t transfer personal responsibility onto anyone else. In some cases it’s actually healthier for dogs not to be spayed or neutered at such a young age (females sometimes 2 years or more and males sometimes never). However they’re being desexed younger and younger nowadays in order to try to prevent irresponsible owners from allowing their dogs to mate with other random dogs. Dogs are also abandoned because they’re older and have expensive health issues which is awful. Dogs are also abandoned due to behavioral issues that could be addressed with proper training but instead their owners just give them up. The ideology behind “all breeders are bad” is flawed when you think about it in human terms too. You can’t tell people “only adopt…never have your own biological children.” You can encourage adoption but there’s also something to say for having your own children and having someone healthy and happy that can pass along you and your ancestors genes to their children. There is a place for adoption but there is still a place for continuing to procreate responsibly…for dogs and people. Also looking down on “mutts” is a little hypocritical considering there are so many people with different backgrounds and different races that have mixed race children. No one should discriminate against those parents right? Anyway the best thing you can do to have healthy dogs of any breed is to feed them a species appropriate diet (not kibble or canned), don’t overvaccinate, don’t spay or neuter to early (or at all in some cases so long as you’re a responsible pet parent) because it’s actually healthier for dogs, provide some level of training so your dog will have fewer behavioral issues, and treat them like family no matter if they’re from a shelter or a breeder.

She does all the good things a breeder should do, but at the end of the day, she runs a puppy mill. There is no such thing as an ethically bred doodle. Also, these are dogs, not people. Comparing mutts to human beings is so racist…

@@Jessie_Ann244 you’re entitled to your opinion but I have to say if you’ve watched her other videos she does have specific standards. I’m not a doodle expert but she does fairly extensive health testing and looks for very specific standards. If the dogs are healthy then breeding them really isn’t unethical. Puppy mills don’t waste money or time on that kind of testing. They want a certain look so they can make money but the health is often neglected…they even breed dogs that are related and thus propagate with potentially serious health issues down the road for the puppies. Those are the ones with no standards and I haven’t seen that from Bailey thus far. Also like I mentioned before “mutts” are also often healthier than many purebred dogs. I love purebred dogs and want their breeds and breed standards to continue on forever but mutts often have fewer health issues which is great for both the dogs and the owners. The dogs have better quality of life in some cases and the owners don’t have expensive vet bills. How could it be unethical to breed two species of dogs that are healthy and unrelated when their puppies will often be healthier and live happy lives? Sadly there are plenty of purebred dogs that have had their breed standards decline over the last 100 years or so. Many Purebred dog breeders are great but there have been enough of them over the years that have been really bad for the breeds they’re selling. Reckless breeding has lead to a decline in so many of the most popular purebred dog breeds. Pugs, Bulldogs, frenchies, basset hounds, etc have been bred so shamefully by so many over the last several years simply for specific looks that they now have health issues they either didn’t have before or at least they weren’t nearly as bad as they are now especially for the brachycephalic breeds and short-legged breeds. Trendy desirable traits without regard to the dogs’ health is why so many purebred dogs and mutts are suffering nowadays. Thats unethical breeding imo. That’s why I can’t say a conscientious “mutt” breeder is somehow worse than a misguided or careless purebred dog breeder who doesn’t adhere to the ideal breed standard, cares only about looks and money and how many puppies they can sell, and doesn’t test for health issues. Ethical breeding is subjective in this case I guess but as far as doodle breeders go I think Bailey seems like a responsible breeder who cares about the dogs. The most unethical thing to me is to have irresponsible dog owners in this country allowing their dogs to roam or easily escape their homes/yards and mate with any other random dog thus filling up our shelters with innocent abandoned puppies. There seems to be many more unethical dog owners than dog breeders nowadays. And lastly, calling me racist is an obvious and lazy retort. It’s not surprising but it’s pretty sad. I was obviously making an analogy and i specifically said that no one should discriminate against mixed race people. There are similarities as far as rationale for the continuation of breeding different breeds of dogs as well as people of different races continuing to have children and that both the children and animals have value and don’t deserve to be discriminated against. I was not directly comparing dogs to humans. If you don’t understand the inferences I was making then that’s fine but please refrain from name calling when you’re either intentionally or unintentionally being obtuse.

@@Jessie_Ann244 discriminating against a specific type of dog breed is racist not the analogy she used. Segregation of two races or breeds is racist. Not the analogy she used. And Bailey does extensive health testing, cares for all of her dogs and puppies, interviews potential candidates for owning a puppy and if a puppy and owner don’t work out then it’s in her contract that they must be returned. That’s what an ethical breeder does. They care about the animal more then anything else and that’s what Bailey does. A puppy mill or unethical breeder will neglect their dogs and puppies as well as sell them for cheap and never have anything to do with the dogs again. They won’t health test or put anymore money towards the dogs then they need too. They will breed the same dog year after year after year then abandon the mom when she’s no good to them anymore. Ethical breeders only breed moms a max of 4 time which Bailey did with Indy because that’s what’s healthiest for the dogs. If the breeder is actively trying to improve the breed and breed the dogs for a purpose other then to make money then they are ethical. Which is what Bailey does. When they don’t care about improving the breed then you get unethical breeders and dogs with health and behavioral problems. Ignoring all the facts and simply calling Bailey a puppy mill or unethical breeder because she breeds a mixed breed is ignorant. Especially when there are so many purebred dogs that are suffering at the hands of unethical breeders but since they are a purebred dog people turn a blind eye and ignore the unethical breeding taking place in many purebred dogs.

@@chantelleremlinger8429 you can’t be racist against dog breeds. It’s a dog, not a person. Also, she is not breeding for the betterment of the breed because THERE IS NO BREED STANDARD. MAINLY BECAUSE ITS NOT A FREAKING BREED. Not all breeder who breed mixed breeds are unethical, but ALL doodle breeders are. You can do all the health testing you want. That. Doesn’t. Change. It.

When people are hating on a dog breed (for example boxers, mastiffs, etc) and are not allowing some of those dog breeds to be allowed in a state or province (for example you are not allowed to have pit bulls in Ontario, it is against the law there) then that is discriminatory and racist. Also there are still standards to dogs (i.e. a good temperament, not smooshed in faces that they can’t breath out of) even if they are not a specific breed. Also by working towards making breed standards for mixed breeds eventually that mixed breed will become a standardized breed. For example: the cocker spaniel came from the Sussex spaniel and the field spaniel. Two different breeds that created one breed that was then bred for the smaller size that cocker spaniels are. Then eventually the cocker spaniel was recognized as its own breed not a mutt. Also it is very hypocritical for you to say in one sentence that not all mixed dog breeders are unethical but then to say in the next sentence that all doodle breeders are. What exactly are your standards for a dog breeder? What makes a doodle breeder any different then any other Mixed breed dog? If a mixed breeder (of any other dog then a doodle) health tests, ensures their dogs and puppies are fed quality food, clean water, socialized, allowed to pay outside and outside of a cage, are sent to good homes, and are sold for the correct price and not dirt cheap and then a doodle breeder does all of the exact same things, then how are they not an ethical breeder? Please give me some facts that might actually change my opinion and not just your emotional response. Feel free to take a few days and create an actual agreement with facts to back up your opinion.

I have three doodles and I thank God for my breeders .. but im not breeding .. my babies are fixed .. I wouldn’t want to sell them knowing me I would wanna keep them all 😂😂😂.. I have my three and I’m done .. tat’s all I can handle .. and then with them living in the house is a doodle romper 😂😂😂 between vet appointments.. doggie day care .. really expensive food and maintenance that’s all that’s in my budget for FURRBABIES is three… you have beautiful babies
