Hi Darnell! This was such a great video! I was interested in the Karmameju facial brush. I went on the Amazon website and they only had the big brush, and it was unavailable, and might not come back. BUT, I went to their website and it was great! I am so glad you are trying the Timeless Skincare! I have a lot of their products, and have been using them for a few years. Ohhh.... I totally read your comment wrong! hahah. Sorry. I think the SkinCeuticals because its easier to apply makeup over. The consistency of the potency is better with ZO vitamin C because it's air-tight and only gets activated when you rub it in. So ZO is definitely better for the strength. I just feel my makeup goes on better with the serum (Skin Ceuticals). Just make sure you tighten the bottle tight and keep out of sunlight. If it turns orange, it's oxidized and lost its potency.

If you had to choose between zo vitamin c and skinceuticals which one would you definitely go for over the other?

hmmmm.... that's a difficult choice. I like the consistency of SkinCeuticals because its watery and goes well under makeup. But the ZO Skin Health vitamin C is a cream that is only activated when you rub it together. It's in an airtight vacuum pump, so the product does not oxidize because it is not exposed to oxygen - brilliant! So, honestly, I have them both, and I use them according to whether I'm going to be wearing makeup. The SkinCeuticals (because its a serum) is easy to use on the neck and even the arms. Great question!

Hi! I was wondering how long have you been using Retin-A/tretinoin (you look great!!)? Also, do you have recommendations for people who can't use any vitamin A derived products for anti-aging? Are we doomed or is there hope for us? lol

I've been using Retinol products or Retin-A/tretinoin since I was in my 20's. So, for 30 years or so. I've never heard of someone not being able to use vitamin A products. Usually people give up because they start on too strong a dose or they do it every day. You really need to ease into it and build tolerance over time. But if you really can't use them, then there are a lot of great salicylic acid products out there. It's the exfoliation and cell-turnover that you want. Ive recently started watching a few of your videos. I love that you are very knowledgable, and explain everything in an easy to understand way...HOWEVER I wish you would do a video with realistic, and affordable products. Most of us can't afford these expensive products. I shop at Walmart, and have subscribers complain that they can't afford to buy all the things I use in videos. (I have a channel as well, but different content). Have you done a video on drug store products you like?

Hi Darnell. I was wondering about your retinol/retinoid use from the last video. You mentioned you use both an over-the-counter retinol + the retin-a. Do you feel like you need an extra retinol if already using retin-a?

Hi Tigerlilley! Thank you for your question! You should only need one retinoid product at night. I switch back and forth between a prescription strength Retin-A (.05%) and an over the counter retinoid product, such as the options listed at the end of the video. I don't use both together at the same time. Instead, I tend to use the over the counter retinoids during the summer months and when I travel, and the prescription strength Retin-A when I'm at home and during the other seasons. I hope this helps.

Hi! Thank you for your question. I'm not a doctor, but I work closely with the best dermatologists to bring you this information. The type of sunscreen (moisturizing or matte) is totally up to you. If I'm traveling in a humid place, I usually use matte. However, if the air is really dry, I use a more moisturizing sunscreen. What you don't want to do is add just a pure moisturizer on prior to sunscreen. You want your moisture to come from within. And if your skin is overly moisturized on the outside, then it will slow down its production of moisture from within. I hope this helps. All the best!

Usually I use a color-correcting primer (make sure you watch my segment on makeup primers) and then either a light foundation with sunscreen (such as Revision Skincare brand Intellishade (which a tinted anti-aging sunscreen) or Chanel brand Vitallumiere Aqua (which is an ultra light skin perfecting sunscreen makeup).

I have. But I don't use them consistently. I feel that if a face mask is ultra moisturizing, then it makes your skin cells lazy. So the only time I really use a face mask is after I've been traveling and my skin feels super dried out and tight from the airplane.

($40 total). And in the morning you need C-E-Ferulic acid followed by sunscreen. I list an economical version of C-E-ferulic ($20 Timeless brand).
