Right now I’m experimenting with an army made of khorne chosen and Skullcrushers on the flanks. Attacking together they can rush toward the enemy in melee. Chosen pin down and grind through through the infantry skullcrushers take out cavalry on the flanks and use armour piercing on the outflanked artillery and infantry and monsters

Without a question my favorite is Imrik dragon swarms, but I also like mixed Cathay armies and vampire coast gunlines

Dawi have the most OP heros in game with their runes mechanics, and oath gold brought items. Heroes with 170+ armor, 100ish attack/defense, 800-1.5k dmg even before any gear or caster buffs, with buffs they can go as high as 200ish attack/defenses. If you go with slayer heroes you can get up to 100ish armor+missile resistances and their innate magic/phys/ward resistances and insane armor piercing dmg ratios. even with just Grombindal/gotrek/garagrim ironfist, you can trio entire 4 stack end times hordes or vermintide hordes easily with Grombindal ancestor buffs mechanics, these legendary lords/heroes are practically immortal even without other buffs such as crown of domination/widow makers or the campaign map buffs such as ocean encounters... bring Felix for heal but gotta watch out for the weaker human, add demon slayer heroes if you want fights to go quicker.

Nice list, here are two that I like: Wood elf tree kin doomstack. They are like zombies, but more expencive and more undying. Just plop them in forest and have enemy try and kill them. With healing support and ancient treeman supporting them, they won't die. Being monsters means that they are less effected by things that can kill zombie blobs like breath attacks, spelles or artillery. Second is war wagons from Nuln. They are like outriders, but with less effective ammo due to lower moddel count, but with easier micro due to 360 fire arch and a lot more durable. Having life wizard means you can heal damage enemy does to you much better than with outriders. Two big problems are that in autoresolve they are horrible and you might lose units even when autoresolve says you won't. Second is that walled sieges are a nightmare.

A funny thing about nasty skulkers, though. They're not immune to psych warfare. The wrong traits on enemies plus a few fear & terror units and suddenly your your blob of death and murder will high tail it out of there. Had a really aggravating fight a little while back against Tretch... I did manage to win but my goodness, it was tough. The bugger is a specialist in not dying, he causes fear, and he had a chieftan on a mutant rat ogre with him. All while getting pelted by skirmish units and being held back by clanrats. What I really like as Greenies, though, is the orc boss + black orc big bosses approach. Doesn't need a full stack of blorc bosses, frankly just a handful is likely to be enough but 7-8 of them and it just isn't fair anymore. Those plus the boss riding on boars is tanky, reasonably fast, very punchy against enemy single entities, and so much balance of power that the AI is happy to blob and let you foot of gork the infantry away. And most siege battles, you can just punch through the breach defenders, then run off and engage targets of opportunity or capture points. Then fill up the rest of the army with nasty skulkers. But I mean, if we're talking absolute favorite army composition of all time then it's Khazrak with 15 wargors and one of each kind of spellcaster, all on chariots. There's just too many high MA, high damage splash attacks and collision attacks happening when you get that many single entity chariots in the same general blob of enemies. You don't need spells to hurry it up but who doesn't like a bit of overkill? It just grinds everything down so fast. And you'll have short victory by then so the WOM tank is guaranteed to be full.

Ever since the skullcannons got their vortex effect, I think they're one of the most fun doomstacks.

For Chaos dwarf armies i will have some bull centaur renders (great weapons), bale tauruses or K’daii destroyers depending on what tier army it is. Low tier bull centaurs. Mid tier bale Taurus. High tier Kdaii destroyers. I use these to protect the flanks of the army and to provide what is mostly a slow moving army some units that can rapidly react to a situation. Such as a cavalry flanking attack. So a high tier army build would be One lord One hero 8 infernal ironsworn 4 Fireglaives 4 kdaii destroyers 2 iron daemon dread quake mortar.

I mean, my favorite army is a balanced army, it just depends if the army makes sense, is fun to use, and whether it's good or not.

Honourable mention: you can win battles while blindfolded with a archaon/be'lakor doomstack of aspiring champions and their dedicated techs. most unfair army ever conceived but very satisfying walking them into four full stacks and watching them take no damage also would you consider making a chorf unit tier list?
@CultistOfkhorne8 күн бұрын
Yeah, I plan to do every race unit tier list, but I think I will do it a bit after the dlc.

Very good armies but all hard to get, and by turn 100 you don't even need them anymore... Any suggestion of "mid tier" armies you can field by turn 40, ie when you NEED a good army ? !

Depends on what race you are playing as, but I have 2 videos about army compositions for the empire and dwarfs if you want to check those out.

Gonna be honest maybe it's a part of how my life has changed over the years but I'm really trying to have fun with this game but my campaigns seem to be over by turn 50-60 because whatever LL steam rolls everything. I don't find myself having as much fun as I did in Warhammer 2 because the AI just constantly camps and waits for you to have an undefended province and attacks that.
@CultistOfkhorne7 күн бұрын
Yeah, this game just has very few restrictions, they removed most of the fun things you could do in the game, and the A.I. has been "improved" in such a way where it has a really hard time expanding and will only ever fight you if it means victory.
@Mysteryboy00075 күн бұрын
Why did they make the AI worst in this game I don't get it
@CultistOfkhorne5 күн бұрын
@@Mysteryboy0007 Depends, on the campaign map it is actually smarter, which is why it will never outright attack you unless it has 100% chance to win, ether in the first auto resolve, or when it bring more armies. This sounds good, until you play the game and realize that because it will avoid fighting you, the A.I. will instead go for easier targets, which are your minor settlements and you will just have to chase it through your territory while it sacks your settlements. In contrast to Warhammer 2 A.I., where it would simply throw everything it had at you and was relentless in its attacks, just because it had way more cheats, and this might sound worse, but it was actually a lot more fun and satisfying to play versus. Which is why I say "improved", while it is smarter, it is insufferable to play versus, and in the end you can abuse it a lot more than the previous version of it since you know it will never be looking for a fair fight. As for the battles side of things, they programed the A.I. to do too many things, it tries to dodge ammunition, flank your units, find your hidden units, it constantly reforms mid battle, is prone to just stop working altogether, and it absolutely loves to blob up. All of this just makes it so it is a lot worse of an experience to fight versus and is much easier to beat. Where as in Warhammer 2 it would just rush you in unison, and even tough it tried to do less, it ended up being a bigger challenge to fight, not to mention it didn't blob up nearly as much as it does now. The A.I. is technically smarter, but because of that it makes it insufferable to play versus, and makes for a overall worse experience.

I know it's not exactly popular but I love playing incredibly underpowered armies, factions where you are fundamentally outgunned and you need to use every single part of your team in coordination to even have a chance of winning. Doing stuff like taking out their leadership with a kill squad, or making specific units rout. It's not very fun, in fact it's agonising, but goddamn does it make you feel like Napoleon when you win.
@CultistOfkhorneКүн бұрын
Not really sure what you mean by underpowered armies, but if you can beat a army of chosen with skavenslaves, than good job :D
