I learned a trick years ago- when pressed powders get that gunky film on them. Take a piece of silver packing tape-although regular scotch tape will work in a pinch-press down on the spots and the tape will lift all the gunk off. You can then use the entire compact!

Hope those hvac people finish safely and quickly and that the makeup up there survives! You probably want to see Labmuffin’s new video on spray sunscreens. Visine works by constricting blood vessels and eye doctors and others “lose their words” when patients use them because they can trigger glaucoma in those patients. Dear Risa! Thank you so much for this video! For me the most interesting part was about foundation and powder. I have another question, though. One, which doesn't concern the make up products. You have a beautiful top, and you ofter wear tops with open shoulders. Would you mind sharing your experience regarding bra, you can wear under these tops? Hi Risa, I spoke with 2 different eye doctors that specializes in 2 different parts of eyes and they both told me these eye drops tighten the veins therefore the eyes look so white. They both said it’s very risky to use because of the veins getting so tight. I wanted to pass this information in case you wanted to do some research on this.❤

I can’t believe the Mac blot powder is $38? I swear it used to be like $22! Also double wear is $52 now, what’s going on? These prices have gotten ridiculous! I try to buy my high end makeup when there’s a sale at Ulta or Sephora or price matching at Nordstrom & Macys, which is pretty regularly. A dupe for Armani foundation is L’Oréal true match nude serum foundation, I’ve used both and I like the L’Oréal one better because it gives a little more coverage.

Oh my goodness, you are probably the 2nd KZbinr in all my years watching YT that has mentioned MAC Blotting Powder. I have combo/ oily skin and have been using at least 25 years! I use it to both set and touch up my foundation. Keeps it flawless. Unfortunately I’m 1 of probably 10 people in the world that don’t have a match in Estée Lauder Double Ware. The closest I’ve found to EL is the KVD Serum Foundation and they have my color. Thanks for an excellent video.

Hi Risa unfortunately most of my repurchased items are discontinued now 😢. The previous Lancome teint idole I bought for years. They reformulated and discontinued my shade 008, so that’s gone. My favourite lipstick from bare minerals in bavarian pink is long gone 😢. Clarins lilac pink lipstick- also long gone 😢. One of the few remaining repurchases over and over is Rimmel lipliner in east end snob as it’s very close to my natural lip colour so it goes with any lip products really. It’s also affordable 🎉. Another repurchase is Mac F&B - it’s really good for my dry skin. I have repurchased Hourglass ambient light powder but again they just discontinued my shade ethereal light 😢, although I have managed to buy a back up before it disappeared. Years ago I had more makeup items I repurchased many times but I try more makeup now and don’t tend to repurchase as much anymore tbh. Best wishes x

Great video & tips. This doesn’t relate to this one but the tip you shared from another influencer about putting foundation on your palm is awesome. This was fun. Love seeing most used products to see if we have products in common. I love the Tree Hut shave oil in Colada. Smells just like a Pina Colada in the summertime. I have a plethora of BK Beauty brushes which I use every single day! I have tried 3 different nail glues, even the newer Kiss flexible. Nothing holds my nails on better than Glamnetic nail glue. I'm going to try the Armani foundation again. I hope I can get the correct shade this time.

Risa......I regularly clean my makeup sponges and brushes with Dawn dish washing liquid. It really does clean up the oil and product build up. Rinse thoroughly.

I’ve also been using the MAC blot powder in Medium-Dark for over 20 years. Used Fenty and KVD Lock-it when that was out of stock and free times but absolutely the best and nothing controls my oily T-zone like it 👌🏼

We hit 118. In Phoenix . My air went out for a month last summer cause the warranty company were incompetent. My bill was over a thousand for that month. I had to pay out of pocket for a company to come and put in a hard start till the company that the insurance company was using finally got the new refurbished compressor . Needless to say I fired American home shield . I found a better warranty company

AHS is the worst! We got rid of them too after last year’s debacle. The first time they sent out a company that showed up and told us they didn’t work on two story homes, then we had to wait days for another company to come that didn’t bring a tall enough ladder. Then they had excuse after excuse as to why they couldn’t find another company to come out, so we finally just found a company on our own and paid out of pocket(who by the way used the same size ladder the other guy had)Then AHS raised everyone’s premiums a few months later. Hi Risa, I was really into makeup when I first started wearing it 30+ years ago. About 20 years ago, I started working very early hours and I just stopped using most make up. When Covid hit and we started to work from home and now ( thank God) are permanently working from home, I didn’t wear any at all for a long time. Then last year I found you on KZbin and you made make up fun again. Now even if I don’t leave the house that day, I like to do my make up. So thank you for making it fun again. I do have a question, I watch you every week but in this video you didn’t mention the primer that you buy over and over again. I know you use and like multiple brands but can you please let me know what you use and consider the best for oily skin, both drugstore and high end. I have very oily skin and also large pores. You couldn't send some of your lovely weather back here to the UK, because at the moment our summer is a washout literally, thunderstorms, rain so heavy it's coming down in chunks and 13 to 15 degrees it's abysmal. I must be in a minority because I just can't get double wear to look good on my skin, even after a good skin prep, it finds lines I didn't know I had, and I just can't use eye drops because I have an underactive thyroid and I'm diabetic so it's a definite no for me, but one piece of makeup that's my ride or die is Bobbi Brown eyeliner gel pot that's my repurchase. I'm fair and the charolette tilbury powder darkens my foundation and concealer when I've tried it. I like how blurring it is, but she needs something lighter or something idk. It's weird how much it oxidizes everything. It's like orange too. If the color didn't change what's underneath I'd like it.
