I think i get the "weird coworker" rep too. I teach 8th grade and other than one or two other teachers I'm usually the one that a lot of my coworkers seem constantly stupefied by. It's kind of lame tbh bc I'm just trying to do a good job and be myself at the same time. It wouldnt bother me at all if it didnt seem like it completely overshadows the quality of my teaching. Usually it's "Oh, there goes Mr.(x)" instead of recognition for putting in a lot of hard work. So anyway i feel like i get you mean. Not a great feeling, could be worse, net neutral shrugs 🤷‍♂️

I remember once that I got an absolutely terrible massage-- not enough pressure, constant stopping and starting to re-apply oil and she took so long toweling me off that the hot towel was freezing cold by the time she was done, but right at the end she did some crazy stretches on me that I've never had anyone do since, and that actually felt quite good.
