If you review your story. I think you should have made a different decision. When you saw how your family was treating your grand ma and mom. You should have gone back to USA first with your 2 beloved ladies and take care of them in comfort of USA. The community can wait and your brother and family did not deserve your support. Your Grand could have sold most of the land to add to the support of herself and your mom. Lord what a shame. Asante

My brother robbed my mother after our father died. When I found out I was her biggest defender. I was her biggest supporter. I’m so happy to have done that for her. My youngest brother also was her loving son. We had many happy times with her. She died at 96yrs. She was fully functioning mentally and physically. The least we could do for such a wonderful mother. My prayers were always answered. One time she was in hospital and I never left her on her own. During the night I slept on 3 chairs pushed together with a blanket and pillow. If she woke during the night to go to the bathroom I was there to see that she didn’t fall and got back to bed safely. My brother was by her bedside during the day. She was a wonderful Christian who lived right. I hope to see her in heaven. I know she’s there. Thank You God for giving me a mother to love.🥰♥️❤️♥️

Nzembi I would first begin by commending and applauding your bravery for not allowing you to be shunned and just treated like an outcast. Good job maa❤️❤️❤️I wasn’t raised by my grandma who is 89now. I just wish my mum who is an only daughter would question things this way. My grandma is neglected in the village. Can’t even walk and she lives all alone. She gave birth to 9kids, 9!!!and none of her sons care about her. Even when she’s sick, it’s us who chip in to see that she’s fine and bounced back. I’ll let my mum watch this and would probably challenge her. More grace to you. My take home is let nobody silence you ❤❤❤❤

Thank you for your love and God made sure you couldn't miss any of their funerals. All the best in the path your taking. This is not uncommon in Kenya. My brother tormented my mother. Called her names and one day he locked her outside her house. My father had died 10 yrs prior. Luckily my late sister (who passed away recently) is a lawyer, she contacted the DCI and police and my brother was locked up in jail. After 6 months my mother felt sorry for him and in a hearing she said she forgave him. By the way he was 54 yrs at the time. He used to live in the US. Went back to Kenya 20 yrs ago and refused to work. My mother passed away a few years ago. Now he's trying to claim the property as his even though my father wrote on the deed that it belongs to all four children after both him and my mom pass. The greed, audacity and entitlement of Kikuyu brothers is unbelievable. There is also an evil demonic component because the Bible clearly tells us to honor your mother and father as one of the ten commandments. They do not fear God. But they are mistaken. God is the Creater of heaven and earth. He created us, knew us and loved us even before we were born. There is Nothing that God cannot do. He is a faithful and loving God. This is the same God who brought the Israelites out of slavery to the promised land and punished their enslavors with plagues. This is the same God who has risen people from death, cured incurable diseases such as leprosy. He is the God of miracles and He is full of love, mercy and grace. Therefore, turn to Him, read the bible, confess and repent of your sins. Believe that Jesus is the Sin of God who came and died on the cross so that our sins may be forgiven. He defeated death and ascended to heaven on the third day and is seated on the right hand of the father and the earth is His footstool . He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end. Amen.

Thanks to your grandmother who inspired you to return home from the diaspora. Imagine the two senior citizens being oppressed in your absence. Sad and devastating as it has been to listen to this episode, you did your best and May God come through for you. Time heals❤

I salute your courage. This is my 8th year looking after my mum who has Alzheimers and it is very true, the so called clan structures have no airtime for a degenerating woman. I protect my mother with all i know and have. She lives in my house.

God bless you dearly. Sometimes you can be so caught up in the reverse culture shock back home...you don't know whether you're moving forward or backwards. And by the time you realize what's happening, a lot has happened and lots of damages done. I have no regrets, just lessons learnt & a healing heart. ♥

@marydeche7974 you're my "twin". I've been living with my dad who has dementia since 2021 when my mum & bro tried to kill him. Crazy world we live in!!! When you talk about defending our parents, my mum/bro, dad's siblings & other relatives know you dare not cross my path. I turn into a "monster" for anyone who tries to take advantage of my dad!!

This story is sad 😭😭 I know what kind of siblings and in-laws we can have.... People are very cruel and most of them hide behind the church 😭😭

So sad that your mother lost her dignity and sanity. Girl you are blessed and has many abundance of God’s blessings to receive. I know that some cultures still believe that a woman has no voice but it’s sad that these women from generations to generations have accepted and prolonged such demonic oppression as it’s not from God. Time to speak up and rise!

Nzembi only myopic people and fools will comment negatively, and also ask stupid questions like why didn't she take her mother and live with her, my mother is alive and its not easy convincing her to live with me when she has her own home ,she is in her eighties, i have emloyed a caregiver for her, i have siblings not all of them are bothered about her!! She has daughter in laws, they care less about her! That's exactly what happens when our parents don't have children to love and take care of them...i understand you very well, relatives can be worst than the devil!!! Friends can be the best relatives in this world.

Thank you for understanding. When you decide to be vulnerable for the sake of encouraging others and/or confronting the social rots especially in the family, you can expect judgement, backlash & yes, even retaliation. Even Jesus was judged, ridiculed & mocked and rejected by His own....yet He was the greatest being that ever walked the streets of this earth. That alone keeps me encouraged. 🤗

Aw, Ms. Rosemary. I am so honored to have heard directly back from you. You are such a jewel, and I feel a sisterly connection with you. We share the same hope that helping unworthy people would somehow inspire them to carry on the torch of loving and giving. God bless you always, and I hope that we can keep in touch so that, upon restoring my youth music program, we can have you as a special guest to meet the children, in your own way. We love you, dearly.

I said the same thing I heard you say today. "People need to learn to read and go back to School." Education enlightens people so much that the majority of times they would try at least to do the right things but greed whether we are educated or not would be the over all lead to those that can't and refuse to see that others deserves something too. Whether that something is respect or sharing everything the right way. Your brother is soo jealous of your life even though you shared with him until he will stop at nothing.. Proverbs in the Bible says that a jealous person will stop at nothing meaning they would never be satisfied until you are dead. Never trust them again. Love your determination.

So here you are pumping some courage in me, seriously I believe one day will also share a great testimony that will encourage others too. You are indeed a testimony . I have always tell people too that I have never seen God with my naked eyes but I see Him in everything and every step I take ,that only make me trust Him so much . I have this faith in Him that He would always work His ways for me and will sail through and it happens. God keep blessing you Rose 🌹

That exact same thing happened to me. My eldest brother was so abusive to me when I was looking after my sister with dementia that the stress caused me to get cancer. He wanted her home and to commit her to a mental asylum. I delayed my operation because I couldn’t leave her to his cruelty. Unfortunately my cancer spread quickly and now I am disabled. I also had a mastectomy because he was so abusive to me. I pray for God’s healing.

Nzembi, I have been hooked for days on end, watching you from Spain and waooo you are an inspiration. I am sooo sorry for what your brother and his wife did to your mum. It’s wild how a family can turn out sooo nasty. I’m an atheist, but I believe in generational curses; his children of children must pay back for your mum's tears. You must seek therapy; what you’ve been through should not be carried by you alone. Sending you ❤❤❤ you have given me hope. You must continue living for you, you must find yourself again. You’ve already started by sharing with us. Thank you 🙏🏾 You are love! You are special! You are magnificent!

Thank you so much for your kind & elaborate message. I thank God for preserving me & giving me the voice, to speak for myself & my mother. When I tried by reporting the assault, the clan quickly stepped in. Yes, I'm on a healing path & have been learning to live my life again. I'm happy to see that this story has inspired other girls/women, to stand up for their rights & against the social rot in our families. Here's to a healthy family/society! 🥂
