That dilemma sounds like a script -the BTS dramatics had me dying laughing tho! Prenup’s are not just for the rich. There’s nothing sadder than seeing a middle class woman working in her 60’s because her spouse got half of her retirement savings/ 401K/ home etc in the divorce. And getting that prenup when everyone is lovey dovey is always best.

I called off my wedding two months before getting married because of the mother in law and wasn’t willing to enter marriage with such missionary. Two months later he was with new babe guess the mum approves of this one ps during our relationship she would send him pictures of women she preferred for him other than me. 😅

Prenup should never come up at all if you are both I the correct relationship. Speaking as someone who signed up a prenup without knowing. It was in a different language, different context, different explanation. Samenleven contract in Dutch. We just went to the Notary. When things went south, Ivwas kicked out like a dog. Yes, I was the poor one in the relationship 😂😂😢😢

And why was the prenup needed when she comes from money also. They knew eachother from previous, the mother should have known that her family was of high financial stability. So the mothers overreact to her. It was a far reach. Some mothers, even outside of the African diaspora, have a weird loving relationship to overlove their son as their husbands. And they dont even have 2 quarters to rub together.

Pre-nups are not new. There has always been arrangements for division of property and wealth in European aristocracy, they just weren't usually used in terms of divorce, more in terms of spousal death. They also usually benefited the man, but more often than not, a portion of what a woman brought to the marriage would be legally retained by her on the death of her husband. Divorce is the "new" element here as they were previously a means of providing and protecting your spouse in the even of your demise.
