I was very active when my severe symptoms began. Saying it's just lack of excersize and activity is not only a joke but insulting. No mention of the fact the tailbone doesn't stop completely forming until early 30s. Median age for pain is 32.5 - ironically right when my pain started and it affected my legs. I'm so sick of doctors writing this off as nothing.

@@AngPrieTod right?! I was so active. Children don't have pain because no child on earth has a fully fused tailbone. The process doesn't even start until around year 20 and takes a decade to complete. So no child would have symptoms since the pain typically begins after the fusion takes place. Writing it off as not being active and using children as an example is straight up misinformation and medical gaslighting. I'm sorry you know this pain too.

@@emilym.2830 ya, I get it *sigh*. I did actually have some pain as a kid, but wasn’t really bad until now, mid 30s. I’m sorry you’re in pain too.

What have you both done to address it? I’m in my late 30s. Had pain since high school and always been pretty active. Went to three different chiropractors until the 4th finally saw this and asked if I knew I had it. The pain is getting worse so I’m trying to see what I’m my control I can do to at least slow the pain, stay active, etc

@devonpeters9458 i got radiofrequency ablation on the side that the tests responded to, but the side with the worse pain didn't respond to the test, but it was still nice to have a little relief on the one side. Def would pursue that. Had it done at the spine pain clinic i go to for pain management, i honestly couldn't function at all without their help/medication. I do what little activites I can but it's nothing like I used to be. I use a cane to relieve pain when walking, but only walk short distances because it affects my legs too - pretty severe weakness and pain. I have type 2 lstv.

I have 1 on my right side. It's miserable. Getting a the VA to help is hard. Having to wait 4 to 6 months between appointments is horrible. Sometimes it just makes me wanna take the cowards way out.
