Greetings. Thanks for this video. You can also use fiber-optic HDMI cables which can be extended beyond 300 feet. They only allow for one-way communications (i.e. source(camera) to display(video switcher)) but are quite useful. I've used them indoors and outdoors in a variety of scenarios.

Really really good video, shows the effort and time you’ve put into it. Especially to capture the BTS from so many angles as well. It’s very informative while being clear and simple. Most importantly, you’ve got a warm and friendly personality which really shines in this video. Hope your channel grows, and I’ll be back for more!

Just an FYI , 50' is the recommended limit with HDMI, if you use a directional HDMI you can squeeze another 25'ish, but if you use fibre optic HDMI you can get upto 300'. though I've never passed 150'. Also, lav mics should be centered on the body (in this case their ties) if you put it on the left lapel and they turn their head to the right the mics don't pick up the vocals as well (though there are times you just have to go with the lapel) Really well thought out and informative video!
@LucasWilsonOfficial7 күн бұрын
Thanks for the tip about the HDMI. That’s good to know! 👍🏼 And yes, you are correct on how to lav someone up. I placed the mics on the lapel that they would be facing for both side guys and it worked pretty well. But you’re right, if it’s not centered then you get uneven sound. Thanks for the feedback! Appreciate the support! 🙌🏼

Question. would it have been an option to plug in your Mic into the Camera and then feed it to the Mini via the HDMI?
@LucasWilsonOfficial7 күн бұрын
So yes, that actually could be an option if you wanted too! I chose not to do that just so I can have full control of the levels (the DJI receiver) from where I’m sitting.
@LonzosStudios16 күн бұрын
wow, you did this with DSLRs and Mirrorless cameras...really goes to show that it's not about the gear...nicely done! Are you ISO recording and if so, what about the 30min limit.
@LucasWilsonOfficial15 күн бұрын
Appreciate it so much! So I wasn’t ISO recording, this specific ATEM mini doesn’t do that, you have to get the ATEM Mini Pro ISO to do that. I would love to dive into that sometime though! Since this was just streaming and not recording I didn’t have to worry about the 30 minute record limit. Times where I do record for podcasts with multiple cameras I just try to stagger the times I cut in order to avoid all cameras cutting at the same time. Haha
@LonzosStudios15 күн бұрын
@@LucasWilsonOfficial Just meant if you manually hit record on each camera or just recorded the switching with OBS
@LucasWilsonOfficial15 күн бұрын
@@LonzosStudios Gotcha! Yeah so I didnt record from the cameras, I just ran it all through OBS.

I have a canon r100 shooting a podcast how do I keep the camera to stand focus without turning off every single minute?
@LucasWilsonOfficial9 күн бұрын
Is the camera going out of focus? Like it won’t keep focus and then just goes blurry?
@TalentboyVlog8 күн бұрын
I used my r10 and connected to my atem pro iso and connected the usbc to the lap for the feed of obs and when I go live it’s kind of blurry and noisy
@LucasWilsonOfficial8 күн бұрын
So as long as your camera settings are at a good balanced exposure and that the lens is in focus, it could be an internet issue. The live-streaming I have done the highest output resolution is around 720p to 1080p. What platform are you streaming too?
