Little disclaimer about that hair water: the pH-level is EXTREMELY acidic, that's why it burns your skin and that's why it creates so much shine in your hair. The problem is it "pulls" the hair structure together so much, that it can actually create hair breakage when you leave it in for too long. But then again, if you don't leave it in long enough it has 0 effect. So take it with a pinch of salt. I do not recommend it. Rather use oil in you lengths before washes to minimize drying your hair out and try to minimize friction (wear silk scrunchies/sleep on a silk pillowcase etc).

Retinol is actually used to treat acne! So no there is absolutely nothing wrong with using it as a spot treatment for your blemishes
@andriana_893 жыл бұрын
Retinol is building up in the body and becoming toxic in continuous usage. Doctors recommend also limited usage of retinol cosmetics for this reason. Alternative is beta-caroten which is not harmful and is natural.
@camillefaith20053 жыл бұрын
@@andriana_89 A lot of things build up in the body and can potentially become toxic. So might as well avoid everything right. 😂
@kxskue3 жыл бұрын
@@andriana_89 oral retinoids like isotretinoin (Claravis, Myorisan, Accutane) can be teratogenic but topical retinoids have a low rate of systemic absorption since they are applied topically and locally to the problem sites. The biggest thing to worry about when talking about systemic absorption of topical medications is the body surface area of application. If you’re applying a medication over a large body surface, then it’d be something to worry about. But you’re right, carotenoids are types of vitamin-A derived retinoids that are even more mild and can be used.

I used to work as a formulation chemist - one thing to be careful about when using a sunscreen with avobenzone (sometimes called Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane on packaging) is that whilst it is a great UV filter, zinc will degrade it and lower the SPF. For example combining say an SPF 30 zinc sunscreen with an SPF 50 avobenzone sunscreen will result in a total SPF between 30-50, lower than avobenzone on it's own (it will at least be 30 because the zinc sunscreen will still work). Hence you need to be careful when using multiple products not to put a zinc sunscreen/ other zinc containing products over an avobenzone sunscreen.

Important disclaimer about Retinol - it is not recommended to use it in pregnancy. There is strong evidence about it being very damaging to the baby when ingested. Therefore most doctors advice women not to put it on their skin either just in case.
@andriana_893 жыл бұрын
Just to add to this comment: non pregnant women should use Retinol 10-15 days in only one month if it’s in vitamins - vitamin A, (preferably from menstruation to ovulation), and then 3 months should not be taken because it’s building in the body.

Hi. I would like to add a little bit of information regarding the retinol! ✨❤️ so, retinol is a really REALLY good vitamin for the skin since it is the active form of vitamin A. But it’s contraindicated (meaning it is a no-no) for people who are pregnant and/or who wants to be pregnant any time soon ☺️☺️ it’s considered carcinogenic and is very dangerous to the fetus growing inside of your belly ❤️❤️ Hope this helps anyone! I love you Maria all the way from the philippines ❤️❤️✨ #womenempowerment

Timeless products are great! Korean beauty products as a whole are really nice. I’ve used both Drunk Elephant’s retinol and The Ordinary’s - and for some reason DE’s is way better. However, my absolute favorite retinol is prescription. If you don’t have insurance/a dermatologist - you can get it online. I use curology, but there are lots of options. I really wish the ASMR community would sprinkle back in some simplicity. I love Latte, and those like her, and their effort, but not every video needs to be personal attention and a whole script. Off the cuff gives major tingles too. I wish the bigger creators would create as they please, of course, but also put back in a few simple videos every now and then. ❤️🙏 These are gold!
