the stain remover is amazing! I love that it's three products that most women have in their every day home life, it's 5 minutes, and it made a huge difference in your nail! I pinned it on pinterest because I've been looking for something that helpful for a long time! Thumbs up, totally!

jen, tysvm for this video! i'm now getting back into painting my own nails and am having the yellow stains. i'd seen some vid's on here about the peroxide & baking soda, but they weren't exactly the same as yours and for me, didn't work! happy to find one that will!!!

Have you ever tried CND Stickey base coat? Over the years I have tried dozens of different base coats, and this one really sticks any polish you use to the natural nail. I love the Seche top coat (although I currently use a cheaper one from Sally's that works just as well), but for a base coat, nothing beats Stickey from CND, imo.

After over 10 years with acrylics I took them off and started taking care of mine. First I learn from you how to paint them well, then how to shape them square (awesome videos from you) and finally my nails look their best! One tip for people looking to grow them: MAINTAIN Your nails, do not use them as tools, wear gloves when dealing with water (cleaning), use cuticle oil and file them often to maintain their shape. I do have most of Jen's suggested items and they do work.

The Essie Good to Go is better. It doesn't shrink certain brands of polish and it's just as fast drying and shiny. The brush also goes to the bottom of the bottle so you can actually use it all. Also doesn't dry out so fast like Seche does. I'm happy I made the change over.

Jen i do my nails constantly and i hate regular nail polish but Cutex just came out with a new formula (cutex advanced revival formula) that works really fast! it has acetone but it also has a lot of natural oils. i was hesitant at first but my nails dont feel dry at all! AND i only use one cotton pad on both my hands! its an amazing product i wasnt expecting those results!

Thank you for pointing out that there is acetone for natural nails. I just picked a bottle that said "100% pure acetone" but in small print says that it can be used to remove artificial nails. I'll play it safe and get the one you mentioned. Even though I only use it sparingly for clean-ups... my nails thank you!

I would love to see a video about all the nail art tools you use! I don't think I've seen you do one since you posted this video... Also, do you put on a top coat after the first coat of polish when you're doing nail art with multiple layers? Or do you wait and put it on only at the very end? Thanks!

i totally use that julep nail oil and started putting it on during this video as soon as you mentioned it. lol. i got the seche vote and the square nail clippers because of your other video. i have nail beds like yours and i do the same shape with mine. i never liked square nails before, but usually saw them on people with short nail beds and i think its the perfect shape for long nail beds. ive noticed using cuticle oil makes nails way stronger and grow faster. dehydrated cuticles = bad nails.

Hey, I used to have the same problem for years until about 3 years ago (biting so bad that I have really bad scaring around my thumbs). I started getting into nail care and nail art and stuff like this, and I realized the nailpolish doesn't look good with bitten/bloody cuticles around it. Keeping my nails really well groomed and polished really helped me with biting my cuticles, because I didn't want to mess up the look I just created. I'm not Jen, but I still hope it helped a little :)

Great vid Jen! You use most of the same things I do! I can't use the Seche base coat though; makes my polish peel off, but the top coat is my holy grail! I don't recall if you mentioned what type of nail file you use, but I personally only use a glass nail file from Nail Tek. It was freakin' expensive but made a huge improvement in my nails (along with OPI Nail Envy). The emery board/ sandpaper types just shred the nail and make them split and peel. Love to see the nail art supply video! :)

Very helpful! Thank you!! :) I use OPI's Drip Dry and it dries my nail polish on my fingers and toes in less than 5 minutes to the point where you can do whatever and it won't mess them up. I seriously can't live without it! You should definitely try it. I can't stand waiting for my nails to dry especially when I paint them so often!

I was just wondering what you do (if anything) with your nails while doing nail art in between painting different colors... Like do you apply some sort of clear coat after each color? Do you have some sort of thing that makes the colors dry quicker or do you just wait a while for the colors to dry? Hopefully you see this! Thanks!

Using cuticle oil/creme etc helps a lot to grow your nails and get them strong. Cuticle oils and keeping your nails moisturised are ESSENTIAL to growing your nails. Also, my holy grail nail strengthener is called Duri Rejuvacote, and a lot of other people's too! It also helps people who are trying to grow out their nails after wearing acrylics. Hope this helped.
