By the time we went back outside, the neighbor was on his way over to check and see if anything was about to burn😂. Also someone brought up our garbage cans last week and our bee keeper neighbor on the left gives us delicious honey. We came from apartment/ living which is totally different as nobody looks up to even say hello or good morning.

Ask first. It dose not need to be without consent. And if he would not give consent then it should not be done. its kind to impose your will on others and make a for profit vid. he used them. i recent act of kindness I experienced yesterday was the the air-conditioner repair man arrived unannounced and the neighbor wanting to help them into my house tried all his keys on our door and omg one of his old keys to his old house fit our brand new dead bolt. And to be kind let ppl into our home when we are not home withut our consent. We have 2 indoor cats and the AC ppl dont know or care so they left the doors open. thankfully one of them was a lazy guy who just sat in the doorway picking his nose. that's probably why the cats didn't run out instantly. thank god the house keeper arrive a few min later she also dose not have the key and she was able to yell at ppl and secure the cats in the house and call us that somebody had opened the door and let these ppl in. I will say that we had called the AC guys but they said they were to busy and would call us to schedule a time. I do have security cameras and that's how I know what happened. It could have gone bad these ppl could have been thieves the cats could have got run over or lost. we got lucky this time no thanks to random kindness. basically if it not to save a life or stop a disaster stay out! if you see water poring out under my door yes please shut of the water and leave a note, if you see smoke call 911, if you hear screams for help please come in. the feeling of violated space far outweighs the thanks of have function lights. and btw the spay clear coat is short lived. The only thing is, this is definitely a temporary fix. The clear coat isnt going to bond to the plastic and it will flake off very soon considering the sun is beating down on it. If anyone wants to do this, either buy a adhesion promoter or just sand with a 400-600 grit sandpaper before you apply the clear coat and it will last much longer.

The downside to this is that it'll only last a few months, depending on the heat and humidity. And then you can never get it clear again, bo matter what you do. Further sprays of lacquer will just make it worse and permanently foggy at best. This lacquer trick has been known for years by people who have done it to sell cars quicker by spraying the headlights to make them appear new again....or at least temporarily 😂
@JohnWick03
@JohnWick03 11 ай бұрын
Why is that? How come it’s only temporary? Also, how would you clean them properly?
@LeviBulger
@LeviBulger 11 ай бұрын
@@JohnWick03 It's just the elements. Ultimately, all you're really doing is filling in all the little marrs and cracks with gloss, which is why it appears to be smooth and clean again. But since the chemical makeup of a headlight lens and gloss enamel are comprised of different molecules, they'll never actually bond into one covalent piece. So as humidity, heat, and the wind starts to have its effect on the gloss, it will start to detach itself from those little burrs and cracks. And I didn't even mention UV light, which turns all finishes yellow over time. The only real way to clean your lens is to hit it from the inside as well as the outside and never use fillers.

If your lacquer is not UV resistant, it'll go yellow and oxidize in a very short time. Plus lacquer always shrinks. Use UV resistant urethane instead as a top coat. Its plastic oxidization that causes the film to develop. Alcohol will remove the lose oxidized plastic and make it look ok but will actually contribute to making it oxidize faster. Cleaning it well to remove lose debris, sanding to expose a non oxidized layer, and then clear coating for protection is the actual fix. Without a clear coat the problem isnt solved its just postponed. Exactly the same as on headlight lenses, or even your cars paint job.

For hazy headlights use Mothers chrome polish. Rub it in, leave it on for 10 minutes, or until it dries, then buff it out. Don't forget to use UV protection after you do this, the UV protection comes in wipes and spray, I prefer the spray. Good luck 😊🤗

I was having the same hazy issue on my back splash glass tile in the kitchen and I couldn’t help thinking to myself after trying just about everything (from tile haze remover, pink stuff, and quite a few other things and none of them working) when I clean it and it’s wet it’s shiny but when it dries no matter what it’s always hazy which made me come up with the idea of using clear spray paint. My husband said that he didn’t think it would work but I sprayed a few spots with the clear spray paint and when it dried those spots were shiny again and I was so ecstatic and the can of clear spray paint was cheaper than some of the other things I had tried previously and a whole lot faster and it was way less work too. IT ABSOLUTELY WORKS!

The cause of the problem is plastic oxidizing from exposure to temp cycles and constant UV. Whatever coating, if any, the manufacturer uses has worn out. As the surface gets literally beat up by uv and the environment, on a very small scale it begins to break apart leaving very small pieces of itself on the surface. This frequently feels like a powder. It obstructs the light transmission and causes it to start to look opaque. On a microscopic level, the surface has went from being very smooth to rough. In order to actually repair the problem you have to make the surface smooth again. Putting a clear coat on top will do this to a certain degree as it will fill in all the micro cracks and crevices. However the true repair would be to sand/polish/buff to repair the surface back to smooth. However it will just oxidize again and repeat, so then you put a clear protection coat on top to make your work last longer. So the correct answer is either sanding or spraying is only half the solution. Spray without surface prep wont last, and surface prep without spray wont last.
