The STX is underrated. Kawasaki needs to show it the same love they show the Ultra. I have a 2023 STX160LX with a KSpeed stage 1 kit. Love it

I wouldn’t mind upgrading mine now haha what does that stage 1 kit include and do , what are the gains ? I love the reliability these things have just gas and go and maintaining when it’s due

@@StayHumbleWhite pump wedge, adjustable sponsons, and reflashed ecu. Bumps your rpm at full throttle up to 8300 and rev limiter up to 8800. With ideal conditions I have hit 65.7mph on the gps. Dashboard reads 69. Kit costs just shy of $700

@@StayHumbleWhite if your ski is still under warranty and you don’t want to void anything just get the pump wedge. That’ll get your nose out of the water for a drier ride and you can always remove it. I personally like the acceleration of the KSpeed stage 1 kit but not everyone is a speed demon I get that. I would recommend it to anyone !!! Even if your entry level my ski has two keys (green and yellow) if the green is to fast put in the yellow key and you’ll be chilling at 35-40mph all day with music !!

How's the ski going? Is the hull still in good condition and have you parked much on the sand?

The hull is in great condition I beached it a couple of times so far (parking on the sand) and honestly no complaints ! Kawi has one of the strongest hulls in the game I just try to avoid beaching so it doesn’t scratch much haha

Drill some drain holes in the front storage so any water that gets in will not stay and build up. One or two 3/8 inch holes will do it. At the very lowest point

I went with the 160 because it’s less maintaining to do … in my opinion anything forced induction is gonna use more maintenance and is going to be more costly when something brakes ! Don’t get me wrong , I love to go fast ! But on the water 63 mph is good enough and my 160 delivers that consistently! So I wouldn’t need anything faster ! My two options was this and the Yamaha 1.8 ho all motor … I went with the kawi ! It’s the bang for the buck any day ! I’ll leave that going fast shit to the “rich guys” haha ohh and once you do one mod to a supercharge/turbo ski , your going to want to keep on modding and then it becomes less reliable **** just do what makes you happy , do it for you and not for others! If I was to ever get something supercharged , I’d leave it the way the factory built it ! No mods , nothing ! I’m really big on reliability, consistency, and longevity!
