That neon sign from hubby is life! How awesome...I love the font too! We had a late family Christmas this last weekend, so my first video for 2024 will be this week as well. I worked Christmas and New Year's Eve, so much needed family time with our kids and grands. Love the changes with the binders! Last baby graduating...bittersweet but exciting.

We have miss you, but glad you had time to get ready. I’m not a home owner, but why does the mortgage go up in February? Is it just inflation? I thought mortgage stayed the same. We about to buy my father in law house, later this year. So just wondering.❤

When we financed our home almost 2 decades ago, we were put on an adjustable rate mortgage, so every 6 months our interest rate adjusts with the current rates. Now with the housing market and the current inflation of everything, interest rates also are going up, so our mortgage every Feb & august. We could refinance for a fixed mortgage rate, but we owe less that 85k on it, and at the time refinancing it and paying less but having to pay for a longer time didn’t make sense. Until now. But rates are high rn anyway so I wouldn’t attempt at this point. Long story short we have an ARM and that’s why.

Mortgages can change due to increases in property taxes and insurance if you have an escrow set up. Your mortgage company will do an escrow analysis each year, as they require a minimum amount to always be in there at all times. If you go lower than the amount needed, you are short, and required to pay the shortage, or your mortgage amount increases. Sometime even if paying a shortage, your mortgage payment could still go up a little bit.
