The Roscoe is awesome, smart choice to get this over the Marlin. Just FYI the brand of your brakes (5:49) are TRP not Shimano. TRP is the higher end brand of Tektro Components (Tektro Racing Products), and the Slate brakes are very good. Now go get that thing dirty!

A huge price difference too 1299 vs 1999 could of got a Roscoe 6 and still been better then the marlin 8 but I guess if you got the coin why not

I heard Roscoe 6 is not the same with the other roscoe in terms of specs. But yes one of the main reasons i chose this bike is the future upgrades. I will spend more on marlin on the long run.
