Cool 2022 outro using your new rig. I'm aware that you've been learning new techniques, from finger picking, to slap, to even trying your hand at a little Jaco (though I'm still wanting hear you Jaco your fretless). My question is, when you practice, do you have a routine that is the same everyday; if so, do you practice different playing styles, or the same each time and only practice the striking technique depending on the song being played? 2023 Ellen, have a great adventure next year and enjoy the journey.

I have played blues bass for twenty years. After lugging large heavy bass cabinets for years, I was so happy when Mark came onto the scene. Light weight and good sound. Ellen is lucky she never had to lug around the old school bass cabinets.

Markbass are in my top 5 for sure. I usually go used. So I've had phenomenal amps but just with miles on them. Carvin is probably the best "I" ever had. That's just me. Vai plays Carvin. Fun fact. Lol. Keep playing away Ellen. You're so very blessed.

So funny... Dad, what I love is that she really is a kid. Most of the time you grow up then put in the effort to become a great player. But it seems like Ellen put in the work by making the bass her toy .. only the skill she learned carries forward all the way into adulthood. It is so fun to see kid and skillfull playing all in one.. I hope explained that well. And I love the light-weight design of the Mark bass cabinets. In my teens we broke our backs hauling those bass cabinets (and keyboards) around.

I have a Markbass 800 W head with the 210 cabinet. At first it sounded good for a couple months. Then it started having serious noises. I paid $700. On sale at Guitar Center. I had it for 3 years and it was failing. I called the amp guys in Orlando. He said, He had 3 more just like it. Waiting for a New Chineese motherboard. I asked how much to replace it. He said $400. And he said it will fail again. He suggested I try GK’s New Head and 210 cab. I did and loved it. It really cuts thru the band. I have no problem hearing myself now. Where the Markbass was a more muddy sound. But It’s made me a better bass player. Because I have to practice more to be precise. Or I can hear any mistake.

my cab is like 50 lbs ,but detachable casters. pop the casters in move it were you want ,my 4x10 cab will handle 1,200 watts continuous. at 4 ohms i use a ampeg svt 7 pro. 1,000. watts at 4 ohms. have a good day. nice tone. 👍👍👍
