The RE-71R is supposed to be one very sticky tire. I almost pulled the trigger on these for my 580whp 335i but what put me off was the reported road noise. Someone said it sounds like pulling off duct tape really quick as they spin. Other cons were poor wet grip, bad wear and because they’re so sticky, they project rocks and other road debris onto the rear bumper. I chickened out and went with Michelin PS4S.

I'm pretty sure thats any sticky real summer tire. Ps4s is the best u can get to a super daily tire. No where near the grip as the re71 r888 or cup 2.

If that was the case the firehawk Indy 500 would be a good choice but you can’t compare a daily tire to any r compound
@bryanmckeithen8996 жыл бұрын
Jeff, did you know you'd get better 0-60 and track times by having smaller wheels? If they fit over your breaks I'd recommend getting 18 inch wheels, as light weight as possible with the stickiest rubber possible as well. This will save your expensive 20 inch rims from being destroyed, but will obviously be expensive, as light weight wheels cost a lot of money. Also, look into how reducing wheel weight is WAYYYY better than reducing weight in the car itself (unsprung vs sprung mass specifically).

400 tq and under I recommend firehawk Indy 500 for 450tq and up the Potenza re71 r are the way to go .these tires are better then the Michelins by far

Fire hawks are trash. Just put them on and they are coming off

And that is how I randomly gained some new found respect for Jeff. Good stuff dude! These are really sticky for the first 4-6 heat cycles and still great after.

Please do some 60 - 120 mph or 100 - 200 kmh. That's more interesting to see how the car performs in higher gears

Great video! Looking forward for the 0-60 vids. Can you make a video about your search for rental properties as well?

I'll be vlogging some tomorrow, just not sure how much I'll be able to film as I'm going to be inside people's houses that are still living in. I'll see what I can film.
@ElFilosofo246 жыл бұрын
Sounds good. Don’t have to film inside, but definitely your thought process as you see those properties.

U have 19's on the front and 20's on rear? Lol. That is not the definition of staggered. Wider on rear and narrower on front is staggered. Ru sure u have 19' and 20's? That makes no sense. Good tires btw. Dont expect longevity though. What was the point to this vid btw?
@MaximusBlack6 жыл бұрын
Yes I have 19's in the front and 20's in back. The tires are staggered, I have wider in the back. What is the point of any vlog? lol What a stupid fucking question.
