Can’t wait for your gimbals comparisons! That’s the one thing holding me back from getting one - they’re all so big and conspicuous… would be great if they had a more discrete gimbal that could handle the m50. Would love to hear what you think of the Zhiyun M2 on the M50, please? Thank you! 🙌

Yes I agree!! My dream really is to find one that is JUST powerful enough for a solid mirrorless camera, but still small and discreet.. I haven't tried the M2 but I am guessing it would only hold a crop sensor mirrorless with a tiny kit lens, but not much else. I'm not sure though! I will reach out to Zhiyun about it.. stay tuned for more advancements on this goal. Which lenses are you using on your M50 now?

@@AMAETV thanks!! I’m using the kit lens… because I’m still learning how to use my M50 mark ii… really like the look of the sigma 16mm f1.4, but the bulk and weight of it is one of the deterrents. I mainly do a lot of talking head videos anyway, and just starting to include more b-roll shots that I’ve shot myself/not stock. Thanks for doing what you do! 🙌

My question about IS . What if I use the building IS , how smooth the video will be . Also what is the smallest gamble for the m50

The built-in IS can be tricky, because when it's applied to too much motion it can end up looking weird and warped (this is the case with ALL digital image stabilization) Overall it's better to apply this in your editing software and see whether it works and looks good- that way you can remove it if necessary. If you use it on the original footage there is no way to un-do the effect. That being said it CAN be good sometimes.. perhaps I will do a video all about it and how to use each level of it. It's a tough becasue the M6 MK II is better on specs (real 4K, 120fps, etc) but the M50 Mark II is a much closer comparison over the original. I use both cameras regularly.. but you REALLY can't beat the flip OUT screen on the M50 for vlogging. I just love it. Would you use it for vlogging or more 'sit down' studio type shots?

I would love to! I just need to get my hands on the ZV-1.. I wasn't fully convinced it was the right camera for a personal purchase, and unfortunately Sony doesn't send me cameras to review 😏Hopefully soon I can get together with a friend who has one to compare!

I know it's sooo much easier to grab the G7x.. Do you think the convenience of it outweighs the focus issues on the Mark III? Or does it work ok for you? I still think about buying another G7x Mark II (since my old one is so beat up) just for the grab and go 😆

Yes!! Pretty annoying. I'm still looking for a plate that allows the battery to be squeeeezed out. I can get the SD card out with most plates attached tho..

Sure! The Mark II even has a feature that makes it so you don't need to flip the image after filming..
