I respect Uk people more though.....they have to learn in a manual car and for most of them, a manual is their first car. 80% of Americans only know how to drive automatic. I drive an automatic Chevy Malibu in States but I also know manual because my English uncle taught me this summer in a Vauxhall Mokka.

I have the pre-facelift model, with the 1.25L petrol engine, with 60 kw. I am the second owner, the car is 11 years old, has ran 135000km / 84000 miles and is in very good condition. Great car!!!

Don’t know if you’ve figured it out yet but the two buttons either side of your headlights are your front and back fog lights. The button on your indicator changes the dashboard screen info 😁

Hi Alice, I don't know if you know but I seemed to notice that you had an aux cable plugged in to the car. Did you know that if you take the USB cable for your phone and plug that in it will charge your phone, play through the aux mode and you will be able to change track with the steering wheel? It also shows what song it is on the dash screen. Charlie 😉

Just remember about changing your transmission oil as specified in the handbook because automatic ford transmissions are brittle...

You don't have to put your foot on the brake to start it. Only when you want to put it into drive. I have this car and it a dream to drive. Best of luck with it!!

Also, please do not ever use a sponge on your car!!!! Sponges scratch the hell out of the clear coat on your paint and you'll end up with loads of horrible swirls! Buy expensive micro fiber clothes. And wash with 2 buckets of water. 1 for cleaning and 1 for cleaning the clothes. Is that the 1ltr turbo? If so it has over 120hp and I dunno if you've tried, but find yourself a nice B road and floor it. The 1ltr turbo is absolutely rapid! And it's so underated. I got one through my insurance for 8 days and I ripped it everywhere lol

Hi There, lovely Car, just wish they didn't change the Automatic Gearbox to the point where they have missed out the manual override in previous models, as well as that manual gearbox look and feel/ similar design/operation, I plan to get the Older version 2008-2012 series, overall great review.

The button on your indicator changes what is displayed on the screen between your speed and rev dial! So it should tell you how many miles of Petrol you’ve got left and Petrol usage etc! My fiesta is slightly older but I think it is still the same!🙂🙂

Here in America Ford is canceling all vehicles. Besides the Mustang. Ford Mustangs are my all time favorite. Your Fiesta is adorable. I feel in love the Ford Focus as well. Sadly Ford will not be making anymore here in the US. When I heard the news. I was very disappointed. I always thought the Focus was awesome and fast looking :(

Hello Alice, very nice car! 👌🏻 I also drive a Fiësta, they're great and nice looking. But.. I have a remark: you talk about "scratching ice", but there's no need to do that. There's a button in the car (on the front panel) whichs allows you to thaw the ice on the windows in no time. It also works with moisture. You already knew that?

I have a 1.0 zetec eco boost similure to this(manual), and it didn't come with a spare wheel. It is classed as an added extra they are usually replaced by tyer sealing foam. Atleat thats the trend with new or nearly new cars.

A lot of cars semi auto now as in this fiesta which is powershift. They are lovely to drive plus it holds the value of the car more than a manual as autos are more expensive to buy. I had this car and it was so nice to drive really smooth. But there was a lof of recalls on the transmission and I read a lot about fords powershift gearbox. And they have a lot of faults which is a shame. My battery in my car died and even after jumpstart it kept saying transmission error and would drive in limp mode took it to ford and it’s a common fault so anytime your battery dies you could be taking it to ford for them to basically just plug it into a computer and re-programme the transmission it’s ridiculous I recently got rid of my fiesta powershift. I think they’ve stopped selling powershift now not too sure

You can reset the transmission by putting your foot onto the brake and turning the key into the first position and then going thru every gear from the top p to sport and then back up slowly so your computer actually knows in what position it is

It will cost you an arm and a leg to get that insured though, been driving for 5 years trust me. If you picked a 1.0L Turbo(eco boost) those things are very powerful for what they are and insurance would be virtually impossible.

Please change your headlights to number 4. People always think that the lowest number "0" is pointing down, but its actually the opposite. 0 will be pointing straight up blinding everyone else haha!

George Austers number 4 should only be used if the car is fully loaded with passengers and luggage. 0 is the normal setting.

Yes but if your headlights are correctly alligned which they should be to pass a UK mot then on setting 0 which SHOULD ALWAYS be used unless loaded with passengers and luggage oncoming traffic should never be affected or blinded as you say. Your talking about a car where the headlights are miss aligned. As an mot tester when checking cars for headlight alignment we have to set that dial to 0 to perform the test.
