My NEW Channel - some BIG news!

Classic Cars are blowing up! These cars have always been a big love of mine, including MODERN classics, RESTOMODS and even BRAND NEW cars which are destined to become classics before too long! "The Classic Nut" is my new channel which launches shortly and will feature all of the above, including any and every marque that fits the category of "cool car"! Lancia, Porsche, Fiat, Maserati, Mazda, Mercedes, Ford - they all produced cool cars and I'll be picking the very best to feature. The Classic Nut will be the sister channel to the well-established "The Alfa Nut" - which offers dedicated Alfa Romeo content in the form of road tests, rebuilds, buying advice, shows, detailing etc. etc..

@@TheAlfaNut Hmm, let me see? One car you rarely see these days is a Fiat 850 Coupe. It was our family car after a prehistoric Hilman Minx, and may have sparked my interest in cars. Next (and you may have driven it already) is a Fiat Dino Coupe, preferably the one with the 2.4 Litre engine. There you go, a couple of unicorns! Mission Impossible theme tune playing in the background......

The new anti-motorist villain is the “Smart City” which will ban cars and seek to keep people corralled in a small geographical zone. For the classics I think you're on the money about focusing on anything cool, quirky or 'under the radar' - like things you think are underappreciated or are earmarked to gain more traction.

Oooooooh, a Lancia Beta Spyder. Takes me back to my youth. I owned a HPE, absolutely loved it except the rusty wings and, once replaced, the fact that my local paint sprayer just couldn’t seem to match the faded? Lancia blue. A mate also had a Monte Carlo that I completely lusted after. Good times.

I can tell you, for example, Fiat X1/9, Alfa Giulietta 70s/80s (the mum of Alfa 75), and the evergreen (but only left hand drive) Lancia Delta HF, in its 4wd versions (8/16v or Evoluzione)... In this way, You can satisfy classic and youngtimer fans... I will share your channel too! 😊😊😊

Hi Chris, Glad to see your new ideas which coincidentally fall very much in line with my own, I will happily subscribe (and hopefully like) the new channel on its emergence. I hope my honesty does not result in my being drummed out of the Alfa Club as I still have an unerring love for my Brera and several other Alfa models but after a number years of attending AROC-UK shows I had the good fortune of attending a Classic car event at a sunny Killerton House (where you were appearing in the band). I realised that I loved looking at ALL interesting cars from many marques and at that point I became aware that I had really lost interest in going to AROC, Alfa only displays and looking at 1000+ Alfas in a field, trying to spot minute differences between dozens of examples of each model (mostly modern cars), each car dearly loved by its owner but frankly, not greatly interesting to me! As to pointers on content here, I find the inclusion of so many media frames/clips within your dialogue slightly distracting. Good luck with the new venture and health and happiness in the New Year

Hi David, thanks very much for your input and feedback - I agree that variety is the spice of life! I really just like cars generally and Alfas in particular, so this is a possible way that I can grow my subscribers and income to allow me to make videos full-time. Sorry if the video was a bit "scattergun" but there is method in the madness - audience retention depends heavily on videos not being too static and boring, so I am trying to mix things up and keep peoples attention. It may have the opposite effect - we'll see!

Thanks for watching mate - I love a good restomod although some people get sniffy about “ruining” an original car. There are some brand new cars which qualify as cool instant classics in my book: pretty much any Ferrari, Alfa Giulia Quadrifolio, Renault Alpine etc. i won’t be featuring any Teslas! 😂
