Being a fishing outfitter at Cabelas, the Garmin Force trolling motor with the panoptics or panoptics live scope is very essential for catching bass or even just locating fish and finding structure. Huge upgrade from humming bird. Plus not affiliated with garmin... just cabelas 😉

You won't be disappointed. If you are getting a unit with Mega+ you will have the best side scan in the industry. My go to charter captain uses the solix units and they are insane. To the point that I went and grabbed a helix 8 with mega+ for my kayak.

I hope that wireless foot pedal works well. I have one with a motorguide and it's awful and the remote is a pain. Kinda like being on a kayak and fucking around the paddle all the time. Awesome setup I'm looking forward to see how the trolling motor works. I'm looking at buying a new one this summer.

When you say Russell Marine, I think Lake Martin. There are several on The Lake. Those Garmin units will come in handy if you ever fish there because the spotted bass and stripers love to hand out in the 50 foot range.
