My new favorite island in Malaysia (never leaving) 🇲🇾

Mantanani Island in Sabah has the most beautiful beach we have ever seen in Malaysia.
The water was so crystal clear! But what made this island so special is the kampung (village) life.
The people lived simply, and the children were happy.
We also had a wonderful stay at Sutera Mantanani Resort. The staff were 5 stars!!
We only stayed for one night, but the memory stays forever...

@@weeeee8232, I think I've been to pretty much all except Perlis. 😅 Mainly as a visitor lah. Nothing in detail like they are doing too. Steve & Ivana (and Ken Abroad too!) still have plenty of places to cover when it comes to Sabah & Sarawak. Two weeks for each State is certainly just scratching the surface. So, do come back to explore more in the future! Tbh... I've not been to every place in my own homestate too... 🤭 Kapit, Baram/Marudi/Bakun/Bario... those hinterland/highlands...

To those comments regarding the trash, please be aware, most of the trash/debris is brought in from the ocean every time high tide occurs. It’s really sad that plastic trash from all over the world end up on a nice village island such as this. They do clean up everything several times a week, but it does take its toll.

I have done KL, Kuala Terengganu, Johor Bahru, Putrajaya, Penang, Langkawi, Perhentian Island, Redang Island, Tioman Island and Kapas Island but Borneo Malaysia is definitely my next trip to Malaysia and I will look at Steve and Ivana vlogs for tips - thanks for the suggestion

I think in all fairness, Sutera Harbour should give back by beautifying the village. The village in itself is part of the island's attraction. Learn a bit from Melaka's Kampung Morten.

The Borneo side of Malaysia have the best sunset. I just came back from Miri amd Sibu for work, and I travel to Borneo quite a lot. Everytime I visit there I'll try not to miss the sunset.

The Ubian community that lives here is very nice and peaceful. It is safe to walk here everyone is very friendly. It's only that not many of them speak English so maybe conversation can be limited to just a simple hi or just smiles.

0:57 wow.. the sound of the bugs (cicada?) so loud.. 4:47 😂 bring maggi mee... we do do that. 5:33 i LOVE the whole view.. sun, sea, beach and mountains... it is rare to see mountains from beaches. 6:38 no safe... wakakakakakakakah!!!!! 8:06 and one by one, they fell off..🤣🤣🤣 12:00 they are not shy at all.. not at all... 👍👍👍 20:05 cuteness overload... all children are cute at this age.. especially the playful ones. 22:02 the sandflies sure know who to bite.. they wont bite locals. years ago, i visited a secluded beach in miri, with my mom and brother's family, those bugs chose me to bully, i had the most bites and because i have sensitive skin, i had to visit skin specialist to recover. nightmare. 22:25 different ppl, different preference. some like serenity, some like parties.. 22:55 wow..... just W~O~W~~~~
