So I bought one of your new picks and I love it. It's my new favorite pick. Over the years I've tried most of the favored mando picks and always came back to the BlueChip CT55 which I still love. Along with your signature pick I also ordered the FS DARTH TONE 1.3 for comparison, which is also a fine pick. But after comparing them all, I pick your pick. Thanks for all you do.

I seemingly return to Gravity Stealth Standard 1.5. It's wonderful. I like my sound a bit harsher than most, who seem to prefer a rounded pick.

I had to order one, I’ve used the CT and the TAD bluechips for over 10 years and love them, especially the CT. I’m hoping that I will love this one too, I’ve never had a toneslabs pick before. Cheers.

The Darth Tone Tweener 1.3 with 3 rounded points does it for me and all the others you used in the comparison, I have as well, but now have been put in a zip lock bag!

On the blind comparison I was right on the Blue Chip & the Wegen. There's just a subtle difference in each one. The BC in my choice, but I'd love to give the TS a go!!

I’ve regularly used the Golden Gate picks for years. When I want a brighter tone I use the Blue Chip CT 55. Recently acquired a Tone Slab mini Darth Tone pick (the one with the proceeds going to Burke County, NC storm victims). The TS pick is now my favorite. I love the tone, the bevel and I like the finger stickiness. I don’t have much of an issue with it sticking to the strings. Can’t wait to order a DB signature pick!

Thanks, David. I got one, and ditched the *CT-55 and the (draggy) Tone Slab Darth Tone for the DB bevel on my current mando. *I still use the BC on my darker sounding mando, though. Too much 'zing' from the BC on my current main axe.

I did get your pick right in the blind comparison. With headphones there is a subtle difference in sound I think.

I am NOT a professional mandolin player, although I have gotten played for playing but I prefer the Apollo, Mike Marshall pick, BUT a I sure enjoyed the video.

Have to say the Wegen was my favorite (just all around a beautiful tone), but the TS has a more….. intimate? sound, if that could be the word for it. Instead of being as bright as others or warm as others, it had a sound that felt it was playing more for the player than for the rest of the world. It’s more of what I would choose if playing for my own enjoyment, and the Wegen if I was performing for the public.

Any other thicknesses available? I’ve been using Dunlop Tortex 88mm Triangle picks for mandolin for years. I tried the Blue Chip pick about 3 years ago but they did nothing for me. I wound up selling them. After a sliced tendon on my right index finger from about 8 years ago my grip gets a little sloppy. I feel that the drilled holes in the center would be a Great help! Very interested in your picks.

I have tried all kind of picks,but for the MANDOLIN I HAVE NOT FOUND ANYTHING THAT BEATS THE STUBBY PICKS,THE BEST MANDOLIN PLAYER AROUND HERE TOLD ME TO GET THE THICKEST PICK I COJLD FIND,AND HE WAS RIGHT,THE THICK PICK WITH THE ROUNDED EDGES BEATS ANYTHING I HAVE EVER USED.

I got the BC and TS mixed. Thats a good thing. I love the Bluechips. If you can get that type of sound with the feel and features that you prefer, then i think you won on this venture. I picked up some ToneSlab mando picks at IBMA this year. I love that they are offering more customization and logos with a sound very close to BC. I love the Darthtones. I did not prefer their previous picks prior to Darthtone and always ended going back to the Bluechips. I tried casien too for the first time this year and thats not really what I’m looking for.
