This Armytek Partner C2 may have a smooth but grippy non-ribbed middle, but as I remember from my physics class in the 80s fins, knurls and ribs also increase surface area, greatly assisting with heat radiation. A 10-year limited warranty is always an expense to the manufacturer and in most cases it's factored into the price of the product. A small percentage of buyers will inevitably claim for warranty repairs at some point in time, but it's hardly a financial dent to Armytek since the majority of its customers may have lost or misplaced the flashlight after 8 years. Or the damage may be so extensive that Armytek will decline to repair it for free. Let's see what's next: dual stage electronic sideswitch, IP68 rated, magnetic induction USB charger, a generic nylon holster, a proprietary 3200 mAh 18650 battery, a pocket clip, spare O-rings and a fancy lanyard - all housed in an nicely crafted cardboard box, something that Convoy will balk at. At USD49 a pop, with Darren's 15% off coupon ain't bad for a premium brand torch as this one. 🤔 A truly Impressive flashlight with all those extras. 🔦👍

@@DarrenYeoYT Ta, mate! I've always wondered which Convoy with the green LED is your favorite. It ain't the M1, M2 or the M21B. The S8 it is! 🔦☺ Another thing: For small aperture reflectors do you still prefer the pencil beam NM.F1 over the fatter hotspot, PM1.F1? I have this emitter in my S21B but don't really know what to make out of it. It doesn't flood like my M21H + Getian GT Green or throw as far as my M1 + NM1.F1. It's like being in the middle.

"Singaporean" is a nationality, never a race. It has nothing to do with a person's ethnicity or cultural background. However, "Chinese" can refer to both a person's race and nationality, One can be of an Indian origin but a legal citizen of China, therefore by that person is a Chinese of Indian ethnicity.🙂

I think it would be interesting to review the cheap torch that they sell on Amazon or AliExpress for $2 to $3 as well. Sometimes, the quality or performance that goes way above the price pops up, so it's worth a try.

Not sure why, but the anodising they use on Armytek lights is extremely grippy. Though knurling would only make it grippier :)

It's the opposite from those shiny, slippery coatings on some lights. Even Fenix uses that type of coating which I don't like.

I don't like proprietary charging system. For long trips they just add bulks and if you forget the charging cable then after 1 day the light is useless.

Yes, me neither. If travelling, I'd probably carry around a second 18650 light that lets you charge the battery in the tube. So I have a backup + battery charger on the go.

mag charging is nice on an edc, but the nextorch ta30c is still the best tactical edc overall. i need brainless turbo access on a tac light. memory modes on tac lights are counterintuitive. also armytek design and packaging looks stuck in y2k... lol.

I don't like armytech mag charging, I haven't had the best luck leaving it charging in my motorcycle luggage, usually becomes disconnected. Otherwise the 21700 right angle light I have is a beast! Should get the 18650 USB c model
