I've been lifting for 3+ years now and I've absolutely exploded in strength and size, and not only that, but my joints and tendons feel incredible, with 0 pain or discomfort points on any lift; including ones I have very poor leverages for. I incorporate advice from a lot of influencers, but I'd have to credit most of this to your videos that I've been watching since I started lifting. I haven't found another channel that does a more perfect blend of logical and scientific reasoning, with practical real world problems and solutions. Because of the fundamental principles I've learned from this channel, I've barely hit any GENUINE plateaus at all (as in, not caused by improper rest/nutrition), and the ones I have hit I've never failed to break past fairly quickly. Awesome to see that you're reaping the rewards you deserve for putting out this much quality content and helping people out the way you have. Keep turning new generations of nattys into mass monsters, Alex 💪

For the Nordic curls Alex, put the bench under your pull up bar, attach a band around the pull up bar and hook it around your chest, go all the way down to where your chest touches the bench and pull back up, over time you can use less band resistance, that way you are using the full range of motion of the exercises rather than using max weight and cutting the range of motion, every other exercise you do you still use full range of motion and progress by using more weight or in Nordics case use less weight but on the Nordics you are cutting range of motion and they are really difficult to progress doing it that way

I have the Arch Nemesis bar and love it, I've been using it for the past 2 or 3 years pretty consistently for bench and bent over rows. I am looking to get either the buffalo bar or SSB from BOS next, but I am leaning towards the buffalo bar because I think it would be a little more versatile. Also, congrats on the new gym setup, you deserve it. I know the pain of being confined to a small space for your home gym, I can't wait until I get to move up to a bigger space.

I'm also from Quebec, I used to lift in a garage but it had poor insulation because of the garage door being transparent, so in the summer I would get headaches doing heavy squats in 30°C, and then in the winter, I had to wait for 3-4 hours for the garage to warm up to a comfortable 16°C temperature to not freeze during my workouts, but last year I moved into a basement and it is way better. I have less space but the temperature remains at a mostly stable 20-21°C in the summer, and I can make it lower in the winter by lowering the heating if I want to. However, I think this can be prevented by having good insulation, better heating and also some air conditioning, it's just not common in most Canadian houses, because the garage is usually meant for the car. Your door seems to have way better insulation though.
@AlexLeonidas2 ай бұрын
Luckily it's new with insulation all the way around plus a big heater. That won't be a problem but I can understand the struggle. That said I used to train in a small hot room with hot lights, used to hit 25-35 degrees on the daily and I had no AC for years. So I'm used to being uncomfortable ;)

If you add a Nordic mini bench (like a Hyper Pro, which is 9 machines in 1), some flywheel tool (if you're planning to continue the "ghetto" pulldowns it's a great way to overload the eccentric), a mirror and oldschool posters on the walls you'll be all set! 💪🔥
