@@gwenscott535 So is she and her adult family members. Her family needs to get off their collective butts and be adults about it and come up with their own solution just Like Dave said. Sell the 60k property or move back. They have the means to not be in this situation, just too suborn to do anything about it. Instead they are relying on her to worry about their problems for them. Ridiculous!!!

This lady's parents aren't gonna sell yhe property back home because it "belongs" to siblings there. Property in US belongs to her & her brother because he still lives there, so she can't sell that either all the while paying $2000 per month. She is gonna get preggers next year leaving husband all the stress & financial burden. And as soon as he remembers that he has a life too in a year or two. His wife will want to divorce him with him paying $2000 alimony a month!!! There!!! I said it first.... this is how her & his next 3yrs are going to pan out!!

Plus, if they keep the house in the family, then all the siblings and their children will always have a place to live, no one worrying about ever being homeless, if times get rough. Or rent it out if no one is living in it, and have an extra income for someone in the family. I honestly think it's the worst advice to sell the house.

Its just simple steps. 1. Sell your parents home in America 2. Move your parents back to central America with the brother 3. Let parents live off the profit from the home sale and the parents social security 4. Have siblings chip in a minimum $50 to help parents live comfortable. 5. Come back and forth to America for healthcare.

@@mw-ys1qq Aside from the mentally ill and physically handicapped, why is homelessness anyone's problem? Think on that. Take the modern idea and take the past ideas. Modern idea: Create a welfare state that takes care of homelessness and makes sure people cannot be discriminated against and offer all these types of programs and company incentives. Result: Thousands of homeless still exist Past ideas: Your family, Church and community takes care of the elderly, sick etc. Result: Thousands of homeless exist See, the problem here is not the states or governments problem. it didn't solve anything. All it did was transfer issues somewhere else. This elderly couple was suppose to take care of themselves and when they didn't their kids were suppose to and IF they didn't have kids their church or community was suppose to and those safety nets worked fine up until we allowed government to step in and play daddy to everyone. I live in New York and we have the most accepting homeless policy for shelters on the planet probably. You can't be turned away, you rarely get kicked out, you don't have to have income, there are companies that specialize in family, Couples and single male and female shelters, you can transfer, they feed you and they give you wellfare programs to get you on your feet. Yet for some strange reason, thousands of homeless still exist in new York despite the hundreds of shelters with rooms available and teams that go out at night to look for homeless people to bring them into shelters and aid them. And for some odd reason the shelter system is called a revolving door having multiple people in the system for 5-10 years at a time. Hmmm I wonder why. It's rhetorical.

Let me interpret: We have xyz Debt --> my husband is responsible for my debt that was incured wholly by me. I let him know before --> I had no real conversation about my debt or details, I just hinted and assumed he knew before we married. I have student debt 100k --> I took a usless course in school unlike my husband who paid his schooling and took something that brings actual real income. My parents have property elsewhere --> The property has value that my parents want to keep for themselves even though they are struggling, so husband needs to sacrifice (what no one else in her family wants to do) his lifestly that he went to school for and worked hard for, so that my family dosn't have to take responsibilty and continue in the lifestlye the are accustomed too. I guess they never heard of downsizing, if they can't handle their own mortgage, they should sell and find something more affordable. I bet this guy had no idea about all these "responsibilities" dropped on him once he got married, i bet she never told him the truth. He should run run run, once she drops a kid, she will sit back and expect the workhorse to provide for her entire family.

So she's subsidizing her parents, while the sibling lives in the parents house and pays nothing? Yeah, that's kinda BS

Well, she has got to get her loans pay off somehow while paying off a home that the husband doesn't have a stake in. It's crazy for her not to combined the finances because when they divorced later, he'll be settled with the whole debt from the settlement, and she'll also get the home they live in. It's a win win for her, her parents, and the 7 siblings.

She though he is the solution for her problems. It was simply a matter of locking him down without a premup if he has no debt and has a good stable income. He's her betabux.

@ablackprep Her siblings are smart, that's why. Parents could live almost on nothing outside of the US in their very own home. For certain they would not need 2000$ a month...
