21mm is my fav focal length for street. My fav combo is actually Zeiss Biogon 21mm f4.5 (almost no distortion lens) with Zeiss viewfinder. I wish the Zeiss viewfinder have the bubble level though.

5:37 It's normal, the same thing happens with Metabones, when you transform the visual angle to a wider one (with the same physical aperture in the lens, the exit pupil) you are effectively capturing more light. The exact opposite thing happens with teleconverters, as you transform the visual angle of the lens to a much narrower one, you lose light.

I shoot with an M6 Myself, sadly budget cuts at work forced me to put my m6 AND Hasselblad 501cm AWAY, i will ONLY SHOOT digital for 2024, with that said, i just recently got the FUJI 8MM 3.5 Super Wide Lens to go along with my X-PRO3 AND XT-5, this 8MM 3.5 Is freakin OUTSTANDING, if you ever shoot with a FUJI give their new 8mm a try.

Haha man that middle section was like my KZbin view history just hanging out. That would've been a fun day for sure. With that 0.01mm flange distance issue, I'd be curious (as I know you are) to shim the lens 0.01mm away with a shim under the mount, or get real brave and have someone lathe 0.01mm off the body under the mount if its the other direction. But probably for arguments sake shim the film rails temporarily instead cos the other route sounds a little drastic, but you could have the sharpest version of that lens around, potentially, or a door stop. The idea of having 21mm and 35mm in one lens is dope in theory, do the frame lines switch when you flick between focal lengths? and if not, which one do they engage on the M6? (Ignore me, you answered that later on). Honestly that lens hood goes kinda hard, if it were mine I'd cut that corner off that gets in the way of the VF and run it.

if I've got to be honest, the viewfinder is one of the most overly designed I have ever used. I have one paired with my tri elmar and would bring it along with my lens but I hated to use the viewfinder because it is just so bulky and not put it on altogether. surprised you actually got one just to use for 21mm. curious why didn't you consider a smaller alternative such as from voigtlander?
@Narsuitus10 ай бұрын
Your 21/35mm dual focal length lens captured my attention until I discovered it was an f/3.4 and f/4 lens. Way too slow to replace my 21mm f/1.4 and 35mm f/1.4 lenses for my Leica M6.
