Nice boat. I have the same dilemma. I have a 1992 Nitro 160tf. It is a 16foot fiberglass bass boat. I plan on getting something new. I prefer more floor space than a huge front casting deck. Also would like a deep v for more Great lakes fishing. I compared the Nitro Z bass boat and the Nitro ZV and there is only 6 inches difference in draft.

Just bought this boat . My first Lund I hope it lives up to its reputation. I primarily troll for landlocked salmon and trout on lakes in Maine. I wanted to downsize from an 18 foot Lowe dual console great older boat 1999. This boat should give me as much usable fishing room as the bigger Lowe. My main concern is how it will handle the chop that builds on our larger lakes. Any input on that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the review. Dan
@JoeShowFishing3 жыл бұрын
Awesome! It’s been good to me so far! I think it would be about the same as your Lowe if I had to guess in terms of handling the chop. The chop you experience in the Great Lakes is probably a lot worse than the chop I experience in my small lakes though.

@JoeShowFishing3 жыл бұрын
Yea you can talk and negotiate prices with them. Or if they dont have room for moving the price lower, try including some install labor work as part of the total or something. Like putting on your fish finders and trolling motor.

Hi Joe, I remember you saying you had water in the left rod locker. I have a 2021 model same as yours I also have water in left rod locker. I had some rain I,m guessing it came from that yet the right locker is dry. Did you have any luck figuring out how to make it drain to the bilge? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Dan
@JoeShowFishing3 жыл бұрын
Yea I haven't experienced water build up anymore. And I've come to the conclusion that its because of the rain and our storage compartments not being water tight. I just get a micro fiber towel and manually get the water out using it as a sponge. I also leave the rod locker and any other storage compartments open after I get most of the water out, so that the mold doesn't build up. There is no permanent fix to water leaking from rain. I've learned that Lund doesn't really have water tight compartments on any of their boats maybe except their fiberglass.

@JoeShowFishing3 жыл бұрын
The side console is perfect for me. I don't fish big lakes so I don't normally have water flying and weather never gets too cold requiring a full windshield. I also like having that extra space available that would have been normally used up by a full windshield. I would say unless you're fishing the big lakes/great lakes where it gets nasty out there, i'd go with the side console.
