As a headsup full chaos mode is still broken to put key items past points required to them (like Den of Behemoths), but you can exploit your way to victory to get around it. Full chaos is very silly.

Having done the full All Things rando of this game, you are 100% correct in NOT randomizing the shop. That setting makes things a THOUSAND times harder.

Just an FYI - the reason Miriam's voice sounds weird for a good portion of the run is because of the red face-mask thing she has equipped.

This is the first randomizer I ever played and by record is 45 minutes. Granted I got super lucky. Gebel's glasses, ageis plate, both lightning attack shards and high jump in the first 5 minutes.

I recommend trying this again with the true randomisation mod (makes things even more fun in my opinion (plus a good amount of Qol changes) including fun features like a stats randomiser and complete shard power and cost rando(and the hilarious dialogue rando(plus there's an option to remove infinites like gebels glasses from the pool

So I haven't watched far enough, but I wanted to ask if you know about the chisel barrage t-bagging glitch. T-bagging will add an extra chisel for every crouch and stand up, making it fire faster. It goes from top tier to better than dawn of sorrow demon soul.

Thing is, I REALLY love bloodstained randomiser, but I swear Craftwork always drops the Reflector Ray shard, meaning your playthrough ALWAYS leads to you going to fight Bloodless, who ALWAYS drops dimension shift, and it just means my playthrough up to Craftwork is the only purely random runs I have. Wish Craftwork would give a different shard occasionally (Also had a few runs where I picked up Gebels Glasses in the Galleon Minerva and do op magic runs 😂)

I mean, yes. It doesn't quite get the feel right and most bosses feel rather lackluster. It's a good and fun game sure, but it misses the polish of the later CV games and the graphical design feels off, which most likely comes from the devs inexperience with the engine

Love this game. Only problem I have with the rando is that sometimes it's necessary to grind souls for progression, so I used a mod to increase the drop rate. No shame.

Bloodstained randomizer has been my obsession since it came out. There's a better randomizer mod that also allows for more options. My best start was finding Gebel's Glasses in the first equipment chest.

Wait, what do you mean by "Bael's a good boss, now that we know how he works"? To my understanding, you just wait for Dominique, then kill the head she's sticking out of. Is that not how it works, or is there more to it?

There's a little more to it: 1. The HP listed in the bestiary is 4444. That's wrong, she actually has 7000. 2. You do have to hit the head Dominique sticks out of, but there was some debate about whether each head had its own pool of HP. They do... but so does Dominique. So if you deal 3.5k to Frog Dominique and 3.5k to Cat Dominique, the fight ends. And you can temporarily disable the heads by dealing 9k damage to them when Dominique is not active, but this is not really important.

@@JupiterClimb Ah okay. I didn't even understand what the prior misunderstanding was about, so thank you for explaining it to me. This run was really fun to watch, and I'd love to see you do some more RotN Rando videos. On my first casual run, I got all the Shards, did all the Quests and crafted a bunch of weapons (including every kind of bullet), so I just wore Gebel's Glasses and the Recycle Hat to stop time (which funnily works on Bael, but not Dominique before him) and spam Diamond Bullets (which works on everything). But Bael didn't die when the three heads went down, so I kinda knew from then on that Bael's heads didn't matter.

This rando is great but it does have one problem... The logic isn't really the best. I recently had one rando that I couldn't complete because either there is some obscure check that I don't know about or the zangetsuto is in the den of behemoths 😕 Still, it was really fun overall 🙂

How do you backdash so fast? Is that a feature of the speedrun mode?

It's a vanilla mechanic. You want to press down and backdash on the same frame. Timing varies in other Castlevanias but there's typically a delay between inputs.

Wouldn't that make the rando too hard? There are several rooms where a endgame enemy could just stop your progress unless you play perfectly. Pair that with the chance to not get a weapon for a whle and you probably gonna have a bad time
