My New Powerchair The Invacare TDX SP2 Series - Disabled and Prepping

This is my new powerchair. And in this video, I give you a look at my power chair and the features that it has it has and the capabilities of future features. Plus I explain how each category has its own speed and I tell you the speed that it can go plus towards the end I show you 1st hand from 1st person perspective of how fast it goes. Also if I'm going full throttle and my hand slips off the controller it slows the scooter down to a stop instead of just stopping and jerking me out of the chair. The same thing happens with the emergency shut-off egg thing. Yeah, they call it an egg so the emergency shut off.

It is a really culture and they can customize it as I needed for my destonia. And it does go fast but I'm not gonna use the fast setting probably ever because of the fact that does go so fast. The only place that that is safe to kind of use is if the like that hallway where the floor is really flat cause any little thing could cause a problem the problem which is why I'm not going to probably use that setting ever. And the horn is pretty cool I had one that I pushed on it was a button that I would push on my old 1 but this 1 I can just hold it down so it will go as long as I need you in case I need to signal some aid to help me.

Yeah I love the blue too. And it can go pretty quick not exactly that quick lol. I do not wear the seatbelt because I don't want the power chair to be end up on top of me if something would happen it's way too heavy. And I won't be using the fast setting probably ever.

It's a very nice blessing and it can be upgraded as I need different different things. He said it should be good for at least 5 more years without any kind of trouble. Which is what most power chairs are at so at least I know I'm not gonna have or I shouldn't have any problems with it for at least another 5 years. And man that thing can really move if I need to. I don't think I'll ever use it up to Max speed but but be unable to move fast if I needed to definitely fidefinitely 5.9 miles per hour is pretty good clip of speed.

@@DisabledandPrepping my doctor won't approve me for one... I have a rolater... it's a walker with a seat and wheels. I really use the seat because I can sit if I get tired of standing. I use the seat a lot because of the pain in my back and legs. So happy you got a new one and has the upgrades ♥️🙏😊

My friend has a rollinator. When I did my test for the power chair they tried me with rollinator rollinator and a Walker and bunch of other devices. Before settling the power chair. Yes definitely not easy to get approved for these power chairs.

Oh black would be a nice color too. The guy that dropped it off realized that the blue is the same color as my shoelace has on my high tops which was not planned of course.

It has everything I need right now and it has also the capabilities of being upgraded to things that I may need in the future. And yes it feels a lot more stable than my own. In fact I found out that I can actually stand on the foot rest and the power chair won't tip or move it all.

I am so happy with this chair and I really like the fact that it can be a customized for future needs and that it has an emergency shut off. I also do like the extra power I just don't know if I would use it but it might come in handy if I have to cross gravel or grass. Cause those were things that caused my other powered chair to stop working and I would have to get off and push it.

Yes it is pretty awesome power chair a lot different than my other one. And it can be upgraded as my disorder needs it. Yeah I can definitely move pretty quickly I don't think I'll ever use the fast mode. And I got to pick the color so I really like it too. I am gonna have to go over to the other side of town to get them to turn on the back lights. Because they have to use the program thing thing to get it available for me.

It has a lot of different features and so many more things can be added to it if I need to in the future. Well, I can't really bug out in it cause it goes a Max of 10 miles or 4 hours before it needs to be charged. I have seen other power chairs that could be fitted with solar panels above the person's head. However, I don't know if it's available for the purchaser that I have. 😊

I am so excited for you. You will get accustomed to the speed. I use the high speed when I am trying to cover fairly even ground to go what seems like a long 'walk' like to a store. Just generally going around my yard or neighborhood one of the slower settings work well. Have fun! I am so glad for you.

The different range and speeds that this power chair has is a lot different than my other one so is going to take some getting used. I thought I was used to it the 1st day after doing like about a mile within the building using the different speeds but I got up this morning to take Carebear outside and it felt strange to be on it again. And my speed was it was a little bit slower and a little bit more awkward but I'm sure I'll get used to it the more I use it. Sitting here right now I'm thinking about the fast speed that might be really handy whenever I have to cross certain spots like grass or gravel where I used to get stuck in because I didn't have enough power. But I do feel safer in this one with the extra features plus knowing that it can be adapted to my future needs and having extra power if I do need it. And thank you so much for the words of encouragement.

Thank you I'm really happy with this one but it is going to take some time to get used to it. Not just the power but also the feel of the chair the way it maneuvers. However, I do feel safer in this one and I know I can get anywhere I need to within the city.

She likes it quite a bit. I haven't put it up super fast yet. But I'm sure she'll like that because she likes having the wind whipping in her hair. I'll get her ease to that um probably tomorrow. But other than that I don't think she knows any different.

Very nice! I love the color. I just found your channel. I have disabilities. Haven't had to get a mobility cart yet. But, I can't go anywhere like an amusement park unless I rent a mobility cart. I have looked at different ones. I had major foot surgery and was unable to walk for months and learned to walk again. I often feel like there is so much more I could do if I had a scooter though. Well I'll start off by saying welcome to my channel and I'm glad that you're here. I got to pick the color so I'd pick the blue cause I really like it. I wish I didn't have to get a mobility scooter or powerchair either. Oh wow that had been really hard not to be able to walk around for months and then have to learn to walk again. I'm so sorry that you gotta go through that. Yes my powerchair has definitely opened up my whole town to me and made it a lot easier for me to get around and to go shopping. I don't have to rely on people to help me out as much which is very nice. Thank you so much for subscribing and well welcome to the community. I have a very friendly you friendly group of people that like to help out others here. So if you have questions I'm sure there's somebody here that can help. Yes, she has been on it and I usually use the outside speed so it's about as fast as my old one was on the outside mode. Knowing her she would love the fast speed but but I don't think I'll ever have to use that.

Cool and a purple is a pretty cool color too. I don't have the tilts feature I am mine right now. They said that they could add things like that later as I need the adaptations. And welcome to my channel. I'm glad that you're here and I look forward to talking to you in my comment sections.
