There is a Hex head bolt on the bottom of the gear shifter mechanism, right behind the NuVinci Optimized display. I believe it's a 4mm size. Loosen that bolt and you can slide the shifter up and out of the way of the bolt for the rear brake lever. Once you loosen the rear brake bolt, move it over far enough for the new grip to fit flush with the handlebar then, with the brake lever in position, tighten the bolt, move the shifter mechanism back down and in position, tighten the bolt, tight the grip end bolt and insert the plug into the handlebar.

The bike is great. Those silicone grips are not good.

Actually, I love my new Priority bike. No messy Oil to deal with. the ride is smooth. Did I say smooth? No cranking and crunching like metal chain bikes.i live in Sacramento CA and we have some nice bike trails along the American River. I try to ride 30 miles several times a week. I need to make another video.

Grips are highly subjective. Company installs “cheap” grips to lower the cost knowing you will buy a different set. Much time wasted on video on the grips a little with the overall bike…

True about the grips, but the seat and peddles are really good so they only went cheap on hand grips? Really? Here is the thing. I see your point however, it would make sense if Priority bikes were sold in bike shops or big box stores. Their business model is direct to the consumer. During the check out process I was offered to buy extra security wheel and seat Locks. This shows an attempt to slightly customize or Add On. They (Priority) could have offered an upgrade option on some commonly rider items like GRIPS, seat, peddles. As we are buying directly from the company, they could make it like we were customizing our new bike. Yep, all items would be defaults but the ability to customize would be special.
