My New Project - On the Skin of Giants

I recently started work on an exciting new project. Over the next two and a half years I will be creating a collection of watercolour and ink illustrations of treebark as an ecosystem.

Just a tip from an arborist. When you cut a branch off of a living tree cut it close to the trunk at the collar. If you don’t the left over part forces the tree to rot because it can’t heal. Cutting at the collar gives the tree a chance to grow over the wound and heal itself. Much love and blessings to your project.
