Quick clarification: When I said "Corporate was demanding the market adjustment" I mean the corporation that owns the dealership. Not Ford as a company, Ford doesn't sell directly to consumers. At least here in Houston it's very rare to find a ford, chevy, or even dodge dealership thats owned mom and pop style. They're all held by corps that own hundreds of dealerships.

The more videos I watch the more I like the 3. It definitely has more up grades than I thought based on initial reviews. The fact you can adjust ride, steering and exhaust independently is great. Speaking of the exhaust, it sounds great even for a guy who loves a V8.

Interesting, your the first person I’ve heard with the opinion and impression that the Ram interior feels of cheaper/lower quality than the Fords. I’ve not played with a TRX specifically but have had several different new Ram’s and F150’s and the Rams feel miles above the Fords as far as interior quality. I love em both but that’s my one gripe about all the Fords, cheap hard crappy feeling pieces all over inside. Maybe the new Raptor is the first to do it right?? I drove a new Bronco Outer Banks recently which should be using similar materials and still quality was lacking…

In a mechanic and worked on both latest gen fords and dodges (and rams), at FIRST glance/feeling, the mopar products seem so much better. But after a few months or even weeks the Ford interiors just seem right. They dont have as much sqeaks or hidden plastics like mopar, they dont try to "over do it" like mopar, it is just a clean and quality interior, especially the infotainment center. Another thing is longevity, the mopar products almost always seem to crack and develop this weird "film" of dust and grime thats doesn't come off. With the ford products, they just need a simple detail and they look like they just came from factory. Another thing is driver useability and maintenance, by far the Fords are easier to take apart to work on different stuff behind the dash.

I’m strictly talking about the Gen 3 here. Gen 2 raptor to TRX isn’t even close. But the Gen 3 went above and beyond on the interior. The details to trim and fitment of everything in the cabin is great. I couldn’t get past the software in the TRX. Was like a 2001 game boy, you press a button and wait 10 seconds for the screen to react. The off road screen alone was like a 2 minute load time.

@@JoeKnowsBest Can definitely attest to the slow reaction times of the infotainment system in the TRX. After pressing "Performance", it took approximately 10 seconds to load the proper page. Also, in the meantime, there is nothing telling the driver that the page is actively loading.

Yea I agree, I've onwend many, and still own 2 fords, also have a 2022 on order, but damn, I gotta say I've had my TRX for 3 months now, and everything is just nicer looking, nicer to the touch, but for me the most important its easier to use, and so much better layout, I see a lot of people saying they don't like the ram layout, but I'd be willing to bet they'd eather never actually used a 5th gen for a extended period of time, and definitely never had to work out of there truck 16+ hours a day, just saying, the thought of switching my work truck from ford to ram has crossed my mind many times, one of the main reasons is the interior.

I would like to get a Gen 3 raptor but with the markups that are happening right now, I just can’t do it. Since ford is no longer accepting orders for it, I had to move back to mopar and go with a 2022 TRX. Wish I could have both because they’re both dope in their unique ways. Also, I seemed to have such a lackluster experience with my current Gen 2 raptor with electrical issues and now the phaser issue, I am hesitant on going with a Gen 3. IMHO between the TRX and Raptor surrounding which one is better, it all comes down to personal preference. However, I believe that had Ram allowed for the TRX to have 2WD but limited the amount of HP while in that drive (525hp or slight less), than, it would be more of a clear winner.
