Okay i have never sewed before in my LIFE. I have no idea how a sewing machine works. No idea what to do. And this was SO helpful! Thank you so much! This video or review of this sewing machine was excellent because you explained everything with a lot of detail and I love that. I got this machine back in 2017 I believed or beginning of 2018 and got it out of the box and went to Walmart and got an $18 hard case for it “at that time anyway “and I was so excited with it and went and got a lot of things so I could start sewing again because I started when I was around 11 or even younger than that helping out my mom and I kept doing it until I was 19 and got my first child and for so many other reasons I stopped and I tried to get back with it back in 2017 than soon after that I got diagnosed with cancer and That put a stop to my plans again and now after so many years of having it brand new in the box and keep fighting for my life now I’m 56 yrs old and I decided to give it a try because that’s something that you never forget and pick it back up again but I need it to look some reviews to see how the machine is and so far this is the must well explained. My old Singer (54 years old) had some of the same issues you described on your Singer. Sophia you are adorable!!!! It's years after you've posted this video, and I'm considering replacing my very old Singer (of which the bobbin case popped OUT, and then I broke it, trying to put it back in) with this machine. Your demo and walkthru of all of the features and possibilities of this machine were absolutely perfect. I hope you're still loving this sleek, feature packed model. I'm what I call a "straight seam" sewist; I sew things that need to be held together, and that's about it! My machine broke down on me just as I was preparing to sew burp cloths for my DIL's baby shower. She never got them, and this grandson is now 4 months old! They're still sitting in my studio waiting to be finished, and then this whole COVID19 business happened, and I can hardly find ANY sewing machines in stock ANYWHERE, let alone walk into Joann Fabrics and try a few out to see what I like. I had a Brother over 20 years ago and it was a pain from day 1, so I HAD decided to stick with Singer. But last night, I discovered reviews of moderately priced machines, and this one made the top of the list. So I'm trying to learn all that I can. I also had bought my daughter a new machine for Christmas that year and was going to teach her how to sew as well. I just found and old singer at the thrift store and its belt was broken. Happy Birthday Sophia! I have the older version of that sewing machine! It took me a year to realize if the stitch you pick needs a different foot it displays the letter of the foot needed in the upper left corner of the display. All the feet it came with are stamped with corresponding letters. I also had a singer and had issues with the tension too! I do like my machine no problems so far!

Happy Birthday! You will have to give us an update once you've used the machine for a while. I had a Singer I got in the 80's that I actually liked but I broke it by stepping on the cord while picking it up, breaking the cord off. My Dad got me another older Singer (1960's) which works great but I'd love to get a machine with more stitching options. I'll be interested to see how you like the machine once you've made a few projects. Wow, that's a great price!

It's Friday!!! Happy Happy Birthday!! I can't believe how excited I am to see you and your new machine! Take it from a sewer...Nothing in life is as exciting as a New Machine. hahaI love sewing machines and books. There is absolutely nothing like a used book store or a sewing machine shop. The little things in life. :) I noticed it didn't come with a walking foot or an open toe quilting foot, so you'll have to pick up one of those if you do much quilting. E-bay/Amazon for a cheap compatible one. E-bay is where I've purchased lots of feet for my machines and no problems at all. Enjoy that new machine and many hours of happy trouble free sewing. Oh! Thank you S. for the wonderful birthday gift. It was painful to watch Miss S. trying to sew on that old machine. :)
