My New Subwoofer Just Arrived (Klipsch Reference R-121SW)

Just bought a new subwoofer to complete my system. It is a Klipsch Reference R-121SW, which is the new generation reference line subwoofer from Klipsch.
Still needs break in time, but so far, I am liking the sound. Deep, clean bass with no distortion. I am using an iPhone 11 Pro for audio/video, so it will never capture the reality of this system.
Isolation pad for the sub is on the way and after fully dialing the subwoofer in, I will make more videos and potentially a spoken review of my sound system.

I have the 2018 R-100sw 10in . They work great for my set up. Wondering if it’s even worth or if it’s even worth a upgrade to the 2022 models .

I wouldn't recommend an upgrade since the gains will be minimal for the most part. At high output levels, the 12inch may produce deeper bass with less effort (R-121 goes down to 27Hz), but otherwise for the price, personally I'd wait to see what's coming next in the Klipsch subwoofer line. I am hoping to see a heritage series of their subs with higher quality cabinet finishes.

I have the same setup sixes and r100 sub but im having trouble with pulse heart beat sound on my woofer. Can you help me solve it?

@@noobzent I would try changing the cables (power and RCA) if that doesn't work, it's most likely an issue with the amplifier or woofer cone itself. A more complicated issue could be a problem with your wall power supply. There could potentially be a faulty ground connection or ground-loop.

Do the sixes lose bass when you plug a sub? If so, do you think the warmth of the sixes still there without the bass coming out of them? Looking forward to the spoken review!!

They do not lose much bass. My crossover is at 40Hz (which is where the sixes bottom out) so it blends in nicely. My sixes sounded clearer and can play louder at lower volumes if that makes sense. I don't have to drive them much with the sub for full dynamic sound. Will try and make a spoken review soon, I just have to find some time.

I think it's more so due to being recorded from an iPhone. The sub certainly fills in all the low end from 40Hz down to 27Hz. Even with good headphones, it's not picking up on the iPhone mic.
