Do you think it would be possible to have a decent AP/AD hybrid bruiser build? I want his abilities to be more than just CC, but I also want to be able to farm and trade without using all my mana.

The starting point is Nashor's Tooth or Rageblade probably. I think you can quite freely pick between the AP/AD/AS/HP items for any Thresh build, like going Titanic Hydra Liandry's Torment Abyssal Mask or something, maybe with Nashor's Tooth, just try to avoid anti-synergies like building armor pen with an AP build, or Sundered Sky then full AP.
