I think that is really nice. After watching, I have an idea you might make a video on using your machine. You might try to make four plates so that when you fill the machine up, take the four plates and push them in the middle of the mix, and then press them. When you finish pressing, just take the plates out and you will have eight briquettes instead of four. You might try adding eight plates and make sixteen small briquettes. Let me know if you like my idea.
@Mladen3658 жыл бұрын
I have think about that,as i see resault will be the same,if i made 4 big briquettes or 8 smaller,but it is nice idea,it can be made as you say but i need that size for round stove that i make,i will put 6 this briquettes and start a fire in middle than i will test it how long will it burn and how long it take to boil water,greeting

I like the design, it's very innovative. One improvement though would be to rigidly mount the machine to the ground and replace the screw with a long lever. Then you could leverage your body weight to press the bricks. Which would dramatically speedup cycle time.
@Mladen3658 жыл бұрын
first thnx for watching,yes it should be screwed to ground,this press is very different from others,it press on side not up or down,if i had a hidraulic cilinder i use that but for now it works with this,greetings

Interesting design. I like it. a couple of questions I wonder about. All your presses use a G clamp or something similar to close. Why do you not make a simple latch which would be faster to use? On this particular press, couldn't you use a half nut arrangement on the pressure screw, so it could be quickly released and pulled back? This too would make faster cycle times.
@Mladen3658 жыл бұрын
Thank you for advice,for me time is not important,if i make briquettes for sale than the time will be important but for now i make briquettes just for my needs so i make them slowly,on avrage year i make them around 15000 and use them in winter,greetings from sunny Croatia

@Mladen3658 жыл бұрын
no i did not calculate,after i press them,briquettes are well formed ,if i had hidraulic piston it will be much easy to press,but it also works with this,greetings from Croatia
@snowflakemelter11728 жыл бұрын
Mladen 365 it looks like you are using a lever, the longer it is the more force can be applied, until you reach the limit of the strength of the steel work. I would think the denser the briquette the longer it will burn.

Greetings from Denmark. You have made yet another cool bricket press. I were thinking witch one is your favorite bicket press?, wich one makes the bricket with less wather to dry out (must be important or ?) , or best volume, or best heating time ??? I hope you understand my question... witch one is the best in your opinion, and why ? You could make a video about that (If you want), if the answer is longer than my question :-) Brst regards from a "fan"

Thank you,my favorite press is 25 briquette press,it is fast and best,single briquette press can remove most of water and dry faster but it is slow,i don't care about moisture in briquette after press,i have best briquette dryer so i can make lot's of briquettes,my choice is 25 briquette press,6000-7000 briquettes i use over winter,my production is over 15000 per year,greetings

i wonder, how long you could make those briquettes, if you could make those like 30-40 centimeters long then they are like splitted logs and you can easyly stack them same way
@Mladen3658 жыл бұрын
If you make briquette larger than 30 cm it will bend and fall appart,it is better this way,the end resault will be the same,or you make more small briquettes or one big one,greeting
@purask8 жыл бұрын
that could be a possipility i guess it depends little about fraction on wood you use if theres larger pieces then it could be stronger but still you would need more pressure to sqeeze it thogether :)

hi this is really cool. good way to get it done without the lifter. 1 - can i make longer briquette press? maybe 40 cm? 2 - now that you have both presses do you prefer this round one or the one that make 25 briquettes? greetings
@Mladen3658 жыл бұрын
Yes you can make briquettes of that size but there is problem,it is hard to remove it and very long time to dry,the longer the briquette is it will bend in middle and can break,this round press briquettes is for my new stove that i making,i will show that in my video,the 25 briquette press is the best press ever build,lot's of my friends have try to build but they fail to press or they use only chambers in the middle,everything depends on how will you make your mixture,i recomend this briquette,for me drying is not problem i also build 500-600 briquette dryer,you can also watch my video of splitting the log on 4 pieces with single stroke first made in world,for anything you want to know i will be glad to answer you,greeting
@bsimpson62044 жыл бұрын
It’s clever and you have built it really well but it’s unnecessarily complicated. All you need is a long lever underneath to push up and squeeze water out of the mixture. Then unclip the lid, lift it up then push up again to eject the briquettes. Simple.
