Hey man new subscriber here. Great content! At these torque levels you're not going to make a huge difference in drag times with weight (like you would with a lightweight NA car) for example e46 m3 with stock 262 torque makes a big difference with 34.8 lbs of rotating unsprung mass reduced. Stock x3m40i has 365 torque 39.3% more torque, but roughly only 30% more weight. Add in your tune and that number gets even bigger. So you have diminishing gains with weight. Now change Subject and check out your revolutions per mile charts, on say, nwtonline or mickeythompson for various tire heights. And then convert that to circumference differences. 27 vs 29 height calcs out to 6" difference of ground covered for just 1 rotation. 10 tire rotations= a difference of 5 feet of distance traveled. Now if you can calc out how many times your tire rotates during distance covered 60 to 130 roll on.... and covert to total distance covered... Anyways... point being you would see more gains with a bigger tire same weight, than a smaller tire less weight at THESE torque and weight ratios. Your speed over land is effected quite a bit more than you think at 5 or 6 inches difference of distance per 1 rotation. Hope that helps. (27" tire =84.8" circ. 29" tire=91.1 circ.) *Edited to try and clear up confusion and for more accurate calcs.

Appreciate the Sub!!! and i 100% get what you’re saying! especially at higher speeds, the revs/mile will def be hurt. diminishing gains/return 100% true. the outcome? almost a tenth quicker (0.08 i believe after slope adjustment) but more so the 10lb weight loss/hub/unsprung mass to cause less stress on the drivetrain. end of the day, i mainly just see myself creating less resistance in the parasitic drivetrain power loss

​@@alexleeteeheeyeah I 100% agree with your lightening of almost anything! and yes especially rotating unsprung mass for the drivetrain... my only point was yes try to lose weight anywhere, BUT don't decrease final tire size in this instance. Makes sense on a lightweight honda civic that will spin the tire up faster... but not big torquey SUV. Either way great content!

Do you think it’s possible to run a 285-295 square setup on stock 21in wheels on a same model and year as yours but with the 21in wheels was thinking of buying 2 more used rear rims and putting them in the front to have a square set up and do tire rotations … what’s your thought??
