Ocarina of Time is one of the best games ever made. The fact that it's going to be 27 years old next near makes me feel ancient. Then again, I'm now over 40 years old. What happened!? Take your time with it, because you can only have one first experience. I became hooked on your channel after watching your play through of What Remains of Edith Finch. It's such a literary game, which appealed to me as a writer. Your thoughtful and thorough play through is the best on KZbin. Journey, another of my all-time favorites was fun to watch. I wasn't expecting much from Soma, but it surprised me by its story arc and depth. In short, your thoughtful commentary is what makes this channel unique. I look forward to what 2025 brings. Thanks!

I’m so excited for this, Ocarina of Time is probably the most important game in my life. It was the first game in my childhood that really made me fall in love with games as a storytelling device, and a big part of why I decided i wanted to make games myself. I just finished watching someone else’s playthrough of it a few days ago actually, but I will GLADLY start all over again with you, because it’s going to be an awesome experience I know.

Oh hell yeah! OOT is one of the greatest of all time. Even though there are aspects of it that haven't aged great, the game as a whole makes up for those aspects 10 times over.

Ocarina of Time is my favorite video game of all time. I still remember seeing the screenshots of Zelda 64 in Nintendo Power for years leading up to it, and playing it on Christmas day 1998 when I was 11. I think my Dad may still have a home video of me playing somewhere. I replayed it at then end of last year for the 25th anniversary, completely maxed it out for the first time, and discovered a bunch of things I never had before in my previous five or so playthroughs. It's a really special game, and I do think the actual game's narrative and atmosphere is very deliberately nostalgic, and felt so at the time. Looking forward to this.

Oh wow. I didn't expect to be this excited by this announcement. I played Ocarina of Time in my teens with a strategy guide, and honestly it's second on my list (after Skyrim) of games I wish I could go back to play blind.

The Ocarina of Time speedruns at Games Done Quick always seem to be some of the most hyped runs of that week and bring in tens of thousands of dollars for charity; the game is still extremely popular.

What's more to say? It's simply a classic. The speedruns of OoT, especially the any% category, are so wacky and technical. Akin to Mario 64 and its "parallel universes" code exploitation/manipulation.

I watched your botw series and am currently enjoying the Witcher one. You make perfect videos for me, blind, witty, smart and appreciative of multiple aspects of the games. Ooooo Ocarina of Time! Going blind into is it going to be such a fun time. The story and world are so so good. Very excited for that play through. My (half joke) question is "Disco Elysium when?", but honestly the answer should be "when Ryan is well rested and has available higher brain functioning" because that ish is DENSE. I guess a real question, not really channel related, just curious: Are you still running regularly? I imagine being sleep deprived significantly impacts your energy for exercise.

I'll check the series up sometime in the future when I have some time. I know a lot of people want you to play Tears of the Kingdom (me included), but in my opinion it's a great idea to wait a bit more before playing it since it could really easily lead to burnout after playing Breath of the Wild. I suggested this series of games some time ago on your discord, and it got denied since "horror" games weren't allowed that time, but if you enjoyed Soma, I think you'll REALLY enjoy Metro 2033 and it's sequels.

Don't get me wrong, OoT is a good game, and when it released it was crazy advanced for it's time, which cements it as one of the pillars of modern 3D gaming. I however don't love it that much.

I can say that I know of at least two of your fellow blind streamers that are playing Silent Hill 2 Remake. They have garnered such a deep love for the game. About Oliver is equally adverse to horror as you are, yet his awe for the writing and atmosphere if the game really shines theough. Mapocalops has played all (I think) of the SH games and was so impressed by the original SH2 that he made his first and only video essay ever about it. He's currently playing the remake and is thoroughly soaking it in. I'm sure you're familiar with both of these as there is a big overlap between your communities and game choices. With all that said, I won't personally have time to watch it, and I'm not saying you absolutely should play it. I'm just saying that if you do, you won't regret it ;) P.S. I once promised to pledge when OoT, so be sure to thank your newest patron during your playthrough 😄❤

Hello beautiful person I just wanna say I just discovered your channel like a week ago and have become obsessed with the Subnautica playthrough. "This game is 26 years old". Well geez, thanks for making me feel old. This game is an absolute treat and was a great part of my childhood, and a contender for one of my favorite games of all time. I cannot wait for you to experience it. 💙 Also, since I just finished the video, I have 2 questions: - Do you realistically think you will finish P5 in hollow knight? You don't have to, I understand it's quite time consuming, but I was a little curious if it was a plan for the future or if it's been pretty much shelved. - Do you think you might be interested in doing more later night streams (like the pokemon TCG simulator stream this week). It doesn't even have to be every week, but I find that once in a while, it's nice to be able to cover up with a warm blanket and just chill in stream while you play a cozy game and interact with chat 🙂
