That first Mark in front of the ranges looks decent for collecting a few peelers in the warmer weather. I haven't eaten willicks for years. Used to be a family day out when I was a lad. Good to watch.

Hi mate good effort on todays video great content and safety info for anyone new fishing these marks,.the wherry does tend to fish better on night tides and there are some good coalies and the odd codling about at the moment.keep up the good work and tight lines for the next one.

What you picked up were periwinkles a.k.a. 'willicks'. These are edible (assuming you like that sort of thing - personally, I'd have to be extremely hungry i.e. at death's door from starvation to attempt them) although I wouldn't necessarily recommend eating any filter feeding shellfish from the north-east coastline. I think you'd have to boil them for a couple of minutes then get them out of their shell with a long pin. To me they resemble snots but there's no accounting for taste, I suppose...
