I hate true island holes for this reason. I feel like there should be a mercy drop zone once you've, like, I dunno, triple bogied. Like, of course, you should be able to lose strokes, that's golf, but I've seen exactly what you described too many times. Dudes play a great round, somehow get the yips on the island hole, and lose the tournament then and there.

Eagle this was one of my favorite vlogs you have ever done IMO. It is very honest and revealing and it shows people and hopefully you too that the mental game and your attitude toawrds the hole really makes a big difference. Not having confidence in some of these holes obviously is the problem, as it is for all of us, being that you are an expert player and obviously can make those or any other shots you need too with enough practice and focus and positive mental attitude. I dont how how you get passed some of those like 888 or Emporia, specifically ones that cost you a win in the past, that is rough and you handle as well as any pro Ive ever seen, so nice work there. Hopefully analyzing this footage can help you look at those holes differently in the future when you show up early to get in practice rounds rather than think, oh boy here we go again, and how can I get this birdie?, maybe it should be more like, "ok, not this year, I got this, this year, I am going to make a fool proof game plan so I never lose a stroke on this hole this year or something like that. Sorry to leave you a novel to read, lol. Thanks for the content

Loved the list Eagle! It's kind of nice to see the humanity of a pro disc golfer and know that there are holes that give everyone nightmares. Checking through Udisc I see that I scored a few 9's this year (A par 4 and a par 3 on the first time playing Fallasburg and Brewer in West Michigan) but I know for a fact there was a hole on the back 9 of Flip City that I scored an 11 or 12 because my disc kept rolling down the hillside green. I got so mad that I stopped keeping score (so I could focus on enjoying the dope course!)

Playing a competitive round with friends at Maple Hill. Got to Hole 18 with a 5 stroke lead. Decided to get aggressive on shot 2 and missed the island. Drop zone putt hit a tree and went OB again. Next putt skipped off the top of the basket and OB. Finally laid up to edge of the island from drop zone (like 15 feet) and then two-putted. Got a 10 and lost the round by a stroke. Awesome stuff during vlogmas, thanks for all the effort!

Hole 4 at blue lake in oregon. I played that course 2x now and that hole has eaten 2 of my favorite disc's. I've never gotten better than a quadruple bogey on it and its truly heart breaking.

Hole 12 at Pueblo City Park. I was miraculously at -2 going into the hole. I have never shot under at this course and I was more than halfway there! Woo!...Well long story short I went from -2 to +3 in one hole. Disc golf can be so cruel! Now every time I approach that tee pad, I’m reminded of that horrific 8 I took after I had played a flawless front 9

I played Winthrop Gold this year for the USDGC fan appreciation round and took a 10 on hole 4 in the pouring down rain. Ended up shooting horribly the rest of the round but had a great time with some friends. I cant wait to go back when it's dry and get some revenge.

Majette in Panama City, Took a +4 on hole 10. One of the OBs I was unaware of, and went into OB 3 times trying to "salvage" the hole. Mistakes were made, lessons were learned.

Hole 11 Golden Gate park in San Francisco, normally one of my favorite drives. I completely parked it, however I missed the mando, so had to go to the drop zone, shanked the next shot off another tree into the bushes, mediocre up shot, missed putt, finally got the second putt in for a 6p as I retrieve my disc that should have been a birdie underneath the basket. I still have issues with that mando tree, haha, cheers and happy holidays

Old Harry Meyers Hole 3 during the Nick Hyde as a Rec player. I was mostly sidearm dominant and went into the woods to the right of the bowl. I had to pitch out completely backwards at one point. Took an 8 on Old Hole 3 that day, it was ugly. Keep bombing, Eagle!

Cedar hill park in Nashville tn is a brutal woods course and I took a 10 on the par 5 18th. It’s long and has a lot of trees you can kick off of. Thanks for these videos!

Hole 12 at Johnson Park is a part 3 on top of a very steep hill on 3 of the 4 sides of the basket. If you go down there you have to first find you disc in the bushes/leaves then fight up a steep incline with guardian trees. I've had ace runs there and I've also had up to 7 throws to cage it.

Hole 5 at Kontiolahti in Joensuu in Finland. It used to have this really high raised basket on a pretty steep hill where if you missed a putt the disc could roll over 20 meters (65ft) away from the basket. I HAD a look for a birdie but ended up taking a +7

This past summer me and my friends went to Peoria for a camping disc golf trip. We brought our own basket to haul around to play eureka temp. I lost 3 discs on hole 1 😂 then I had to carry to basket to about 4 different holes that round and I was tired lol

There was a hole at Trojan park in Ranier OR (old layout). The green was surrounded by water, and it slopes down to the water on all 3 sides, so you basically just have to land on a peninsula at it's high point. Lost 2 discs and took a 6 on a par 3. Brutal.
