Great video... I got a vine that I've been training (kinda) as a bonsai and your video just gave me the additional push 😊🎉🎉

Oh, I should probably put a tray of water under mine. I thought all my root loss was from it being too wet... Really neat that your wisteria twisted together like that! Mine spreads wide. Thank you for all those tips and tricks! Going to be handy as I have two out of three of those vines!

Wisteria has some fast healthy growth from the repot. With your skills, the pruning will bring out the beauty of this vine into a cool bonsai tree. Excellent!

Great observance of the nightshade vine growing on your fence. Thinking out of the box when doing this vine with not the same ol' same ol' standards. I like the way you are growing and styling the Nightshade. Really cool.

I’m always amazed at the amount of roots my wisteria grows in one season. I’ve been repotting mine every year. No flowers yet, just developing the structure. Thanks, keep growing

Great work nigel. Never thought about vines not thickening up. Makes sense.

Thank you so much for discussing this topic. I have a couple of vines that I want to grow as bonsai and needed information about how to work with them. With this new information I can now work with them.

An interesting discussion on developing your nightshade vine by pruning to get trunk thickening. I am eagerly awaiting the response of both the nightshade and the wisteria to your pruning.

Nice. I have a few small wisteria that I’ve been mulling over what to do with them. I appreciate the input. What about your Virginia Creeper? The vine series is unique in the Bonsai world. I love that you chart new territory. I aim to do the same. It may ruffle some feathers in the classical Bonsai world, but who cares? I’m happy, and I know you are too.

I hope the nightshade vine will recover and you'll get some good back-budding in the right places! The Wisteria really shot up high. Good to see it growing well.

Nigel, I'm Brazilian and I'm using Google Translate to write, sorry for any mistakes. Don't you use wires to position the branches of your bonsai? congratulations on the channel.

Nigel, I’m wondering what’s up with your thermometer in the background. Because It’s like secound video I see it shows temp. above 40C (and for those unfamiliar with anything other than F scale, 40C is like crazy hot). Basicly what i mean is maybe you should not keep it in direct sunshine, cuz it will give you false results.

I love your content, Nigel, but, all your trees seem to be developed exactly the same. It’s always the upright, with flat overhanging canopy….I get that this is your vision, your art, but c’mon, man…mix it up a bit! You even mentioned it when talking about your Bouganvillia, that you didn’t like the twisty trunk that is developing, and you even want that one straight as an arrow….
