Fun! However, you have to backtrack to the early '80s to Atari "Pitfall" and "Barnstorming" for me to relate! And even then, I had to fight my little brothers to play!

Pitfall is a classic. they made a fewer newer renditions since then, but I've only played the original. (On a first an early Macintosh pc pre y2k) I might have to go pick up the NES version and re live the dream.

@@HideAndRead After commenting on your video this morning, I looked on youtube for "pitfall" and watched 20 minutes of it...the cheesy graphics & sounds made me feel 19 again!

very cool retro set up. i use to have a TV like that but it was dark purple. Ninja Gaiden games on NES are tough but still very enjoyable and Rival Turf is fun but the sequels such as Brawl brothers and Peace Keepers i played much more. original castlevania and the 2 Contra's are some of my all time favorite on the system

Thank you, the smaller screen is what the games were designed for, it's very noticeable. Was fortunate to find this one for free and looks and works great. All those games are awesome, thanks for watching!

Yes! This is awesome, so glad you did this. I also collect NES games. If you like Rolling Thunder you should check out Code Name Viper. It's a Rolling Thunder rip off but I think it's a hundred times better. It's a spy/men's adventure type game. It's one of my top five. The others are Castlevania, Gunsmoke, Jaws (maybe not the most creative but I love it) and the first Batman.

I figured a few of the viewers are fans of physical media in general. I'll definitely be on the lookout for those cartridges you mentioned. I bought a Switch a few years ago and it very quickly became an arcade/retro machine. Original hardware is way better. Thanks for watching and the tips!

Great stuff. Super c is actually the second in the series, the third one is on snes. It’s called contra the alien wars.

Don't forget the Original arcade version. :)
@123hellstorm2 ай бұрын
@@HideAndRead if your counting arcade versions, there’s also a super c arcade too. But the arcade games are just better versions of the nes games. If you can play the arcade versions on say an emulator you’ll notice a lot of level simularities. The nes version of contra was broken up by levels while the arcade pretty much is just a continuous level that the levels are all connected. If this makes sense. Not all but most of them.

@@123hellstorm I play the arcade versions on occasion, but the home ports are definitely my main focus. Have you played the newest release yet?

@@HideAndRead not yet but looks cool, I don’t want to pay the 30 dollars for it or whatever it costs. Lol
